23.01.2022 Rotary is about supporting each other as well as the community through social and fundraising activities. During covid, this is particularly important. As a group of established and emerging professionals, we share ideas and experiences, brainstorm, mentor and have a laugh, and sometimes a cry.... During covid-19, we are meeting online, with many members choosing to donate their "dinner money" (the $ we would have spent on wine and a meal) to our hardworking neighbours at the @holytrinityvalley #TrinityPantry. We also recently donated $20,000 to ChaplainWatch to assist with purchase of a much needed new vehicle for their safety amd community work. This #volunteerWeek we'd like to thank our existing members, say a warm hello to former members, and welcome new members. If you'd like to know more about Rotary, or our upcoming program of meetings (online) and work locally or overseas, please get in touch via Facebook or email us at [email protected]
23.01.2022 At last weeks meeting President Greg Windsor was pleased to present Trinity Pantry with a cheque for $1000 to help them with their work in the Fortitude Valley community. Trinity Pantry started out as a small help service for those who had simply didn't have enough to eat or who had met with some temporary crisis and no funds. Over thirty years later, it is now a food assistance service providing for over 1000 people each year. The pantry is entirely staffed by volunteers, and with only small amounts of state government funding, it depends predominantly on donations and contributions of food to help others.

04.01.2022 It's Changeover time, when we say an enormous thank you to outgoing President Dianne Duff - The Body Shop At Home Independent Consultant and her Board of Directors. Despite Covid interruptions, we have been able to learn, grow and contribute so much. There were sad times and times of hilarious joy. We have welcomed and farewelled and welcomed exchange students. We have donated funds, food and even a new vehicle to assist the local community. We have welcomed new members and... look forward to exciting new action and drive with incoming President Greg Windsor. And remember the new theme for the year, Rotary Opens Opportunities Would you like to know more? We'd love to hear from you.
