21.01.2022 It all starts this Saturday!! Our 1st game vs Coffs Harbour @ Fitzroy Oval. We have amassed a great team to proudly represent Valleys with players from Macksville, Nambucca, Urunga, Dorrigo (and a couple from Coffs) to proudly wear the maroon and white and stamp our presence in the NCCC Premier League. 10.01.2022 NCCC PREMIER LEAGUE Please be aware that all games scheduled for round 4 are still going ahead at this stage. The game at Harwood Oval is looking promising.... There are still concerns with the game at Woolgoolga due to smoke. We will reassess the conditions again about 9am in the morning.

05.01.2022 As we all know, we are experiencing unprecedented conditions from fires on the North Coast. As a sporting body, we have a duty of care to our players and want t...o ensure their safety. The decision to cancel the round last weekend was a tough one based on a number of factors and not just the smoke. Nobody knows how long the smoke haze is going to stick around for and we do not want miss out on any more cricket than absolutely necessary. NCCC has advised the teams today that they are to go to ground and if the umpires or captains believe there to be any risk before or during the game, then play can be ceased. We want people to play cricket but we ask that if anyone suffers from any respiratory illness (particularly asthma) to consider their health and speak with their GP before playing and to ensure they carry the appropriate medication and puffers to treat any symptoms. The trials for Bradman and Kookuburra Cups on this Sunday have been postponed until 24 November at this stage and the kids have received an email notifying them of this. Inter-District is also being played in Grafton on 24 November and a decision on those games proceeding will be made in due course. Please note that Clarence River Junior Cricket is not able to field a team in U/16 so no game for the Coffs Harbour U/16 team on next Sunday. Our best wishes are with all the families being affected by these fires and hope that everyone is able to stay safe. It is going to be a long summer for the brave people fighting these fires and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts. Take care.
