The TGA are doing everything in their power to cancel access to vaping in Australia, their model will require you to find a doctor willing to write you a prescription, them applying to be able to prescribe you nicotine, and arrange a pharmacy to fill it if they are willing to. This will a...ll be at your own expense. Currently the AMA (Australian Medical Association) have said they are not willing to endorse vaping as a front line quit smoking aid. This means you will likely not be able to attain the required prescription and unlikely to be able to source nicotine from overseas with a $222,000 fine for anyone who is attempting to import nicotine for the purpose of quitting smoking using a vaporiser. Meanwhile tobacco will have no such restrictions. We are working hard to make sure you are able to keep using your vaporisers to avoid smoking, along with LVA (Legalise Vaping Australia) and ATHRA. LVA are working on a easy way for you to submit your own reasoning to TGA why this ban should not go ahead.
