22.01.2022 Does your business qualify for the JobKeeper Payments? Read out latest blog to find out more. https://www.vancotterpartners.com.au/jobkeeper-payments/

20.01.2022 Van Cotter Partners are proud to announce our Corporate Sponsorship for Team Checkers at Veterans Retreat. Checkers is a rideable thoroughbred gelding born on 8 Oct 2009 who never made it to the racetrack. He stands a whopping 17hh and knows his size so can be a little cheeky. He suffers from mud fever on his legs so needs a dry paddock and a little extra care and monitoring. Veterans Retreat is a farmstay run by veterans which is open to all veterans, first responders an...d their families / carers. They offer day visits, overnight accommodation, animal therapy and more. Their key focus is on meaningful engagement. It is a worthy charity close to our hearts as we are owned and operated by a veteran of both ADF and NSW Police Force and we look forward to building our involvement and we'll be visiting Checkers as soon as we can.

17.01.2022 JobKeeper News - Correcting ATO email publication For all of those that receive the Small Business News emails from the ATO. The latest one has a factual error and misstatement with respect to the JobKeeper Scheme which I have requested that they correct. This error relates to the 31 May deadline. Notwithstanding the advice in the email, the 31 May deadline specifically relates to the ability to claim for the months of April and May. The enrolments into the Scheme stays open for future months with the deadline being the end of each relevant month. ie if you become eligible in June 2020 you have until the 30 June to enrol to enable you to claim for the reimbursement for that month. If you enrol after 30 June you'd only be eligible for reimbursements from July onwards.

08.01.2022 Government Stimulus Package round 2 is coming. Much more immediate this time. Not sure of the full details or exactly how to qualify yet but government back loans for up to $250k with no repayments for 6 months and payments of $20k for eligible employers up from the minimum $2k last round and even rebating the equivalence of tax for the year already paid in instalments. This one looks more like it will have an immediate impact rather than reducing future tax bills like the last one. https://www.theleader.com.au//66-billion-coronavirus-stimu
