23.01.2022 Had to stop work on my Christmas card kits today so my husband could sand our dining room ceiling to get ready for painting (it’s been scraped and patched previously). 23.01.2022 Got my nails done today and I didn’t have my swatch with me but thought it was similar to the Close to My Heart Colour of the year Blue belle Shimmer Paper. Got home and photographed it with the plain paper and shimmer paper and it’s almost identical! Thanks Tracey from Nail Designs at Shell's Health & Beauty for my nails. If anyone else wants colour of the year, call Tracey she can help you out. These are my own nails that I’ve grown out. 19.01.2022 My 12yr old daughter, after watching a few CTMH Extravaganza videos with me, she started with distress oxides (see earlier post) and finished with new stickles gel Solar Flare (page 82 of the annual catalogue). I’ll post some pics too. She used this lovely template from Stencil pack 1). It was lots of fun we had to make a reveal video as it was a first for us both. I was going to shorten the video but she liked the sounds of the ripping washi tape, apparently it’s a whole sty...le of YouTube video I knew nothing about. Washi tape is from her stash of bullet journaling washi tapes not from my stash. 15.01.2022 My daughter has pulled out all my CTMH stamp sets onto her desk, to help me get organised. She is very excited to use Evernote, a new (to me) online organisation system. She is downloading images of each stamp set from my website and tagging them. She is sooo excited to get me organised and to use Evernote!! She is 12 and having so much fun!! (I don’t know where she gets it from). After they’re entered into Evernote we will sort them alphabetically and then we can easily search for Stamp sets. Yes I have too many. I love wood grain papers of all types (this wood was from the Timber paper pack). 09.01.2022 My Instagram year in review. Clearly my crafts are more popular than my selfies (good to know ). 2020 was a hard year for me with family health challenges, deaths, losses and changes but also some great things happened in 2020 so we can’t discount that fact. My sister surprised me for my 40th birthday (from the UK), I grew an avocado from scratch and won a year supply of McCafe drinks, won a scout WA award, got some new furniture (rearranging our house, getting more organise...d and decluttered), kids got great school reports and did great in their pursuits. As part of our CTMH Business Builders we had a vision board challenge, to create a vision board with the fabulous inspirational stamp set called Make it Happen and the new Wooden frames. (The paper and stickers are a pre-release from the new January-special set!). We had to use a new technique or two that we learned. I just found out this morning that my vision board WON A PRIZE!! Special thanks to @monicawihongi and @ctmhofficial for the whole busines...s builders event and @kristinalivingstone for your part in teaching and all the other presenters. 03.01.2022 Can’t sleep so I’m sharing my Christmas gifts I made. I made 17 coasters for my mother-in-law with all our names plus a few extras. Designed on cricut design space using CTMH artbooking font. My mum helped me with the weeding of the vinyl and ironing while my husband wrapped other presents so I could concentrate on these. Plus I made 4 mobile phone holders and cut the 5th but didn’t finish it (cause it’s for me). I used the gorgeous serenity paper pack and gold foil paper. Al...l cricut cut. I didn’t finish the base on the A cause i ran out of glue (it’s for my daughter so not urgent). I loved making gifts, I hope you can do it too!! I can show you how!! AND... I know what I need for my birthday coming up in February- I need a cricut heat press and heat pad to make gift creating even easier. Hint hint family ;) Merry Christmas!
