24.01.2022 Never forget it Mummas XxX

24.01.2022 I shared this on my personal page last night but thought some of you might like to know, Aldi has all of these books on sale at the moment for $3.99 each!

23.01.2022 We're now parents to a three year old

21.01.2022 'And both of those babies as everyone knows, had ten little fingers, and ten little toes'. Hands up who knows the book this line is from . I think it's nearly a staple for all Australian babies! XxX

20.01.2022 'Sometimes I cry for you, little one. Sometimes I cry because the world is so big and you’re so small, and I worryoh, do I worryabout your smallness in this big world. Sometimes I cry because you’re so big and I’m so small, and the bigger you get to me, the smaller I get to you, and I worryLord, how I worryabout my smallness in your big world.... Sometimes I cry because this love is too big and my heart is too small, and a bursting heart feelsstrangely, painfullyan awful lot like a breaking one. Sometimes I cry because I’m overwhelmed by the beauty of you. Sometimes I cry because I’m overwhelmed by the weight of you. Sometimes I cry because in the process of gaining you, I gave up a version of me, and though I wouldn’t change that even if I could, sometimes I miss me desperately. Sometimes I cry because your skin is so soft, and your eyes are so bright, and your soul is so new, and your heart is so open, and I’m sad. I’m sad that your innocence will crumble from experiences brutal and necessary, because you are as painfully human as the rest of us. Sometimes I cry because you need help in ways that I can’t help you, and helplessness as a parent feelsstrangely, surprisinglyan awful lot like sheer terror. Sometimes I cry because as a mother I have no choice but to put on my big-girl panties every day, and both of those thingshaving no choice and big-girl pantiescan be really, really uncomfortable. Sometimes I cry because I am so unbelievably tirednot sleepy, but tiredthat I can’t do anything else. Sometimes I cry because I hear God in your giggles. Sometimes I cry because your very existence evokes a joy so profound that smiles and laughter can’t quite reach it. Sometimes I cry because this blessing is so big and my cup is so small and the overflow has to go somewhere. Sometimes I cry because all of these thingsthe love, the worry, the sadness, the beauty, the bursting, the big-girl panties, the blessingit’s all too much to take. Just too, too much. So sometimes I cry for you. And for me. And for this big world. And for a thousand other terrible, wonderful, desperate, beautiful reasons that you won’t understand until you’re a parent. Sometimes I cry for you, little one. Big, cleansing tears.' - Annie Reneau

06.01.2022 I hope you're all keeping warm in this brisk Winter weather One month down, two more to go! But hey, who's counting? XxX

06.01.2022 Hi, it's me Yes I'm still here, despite my complete lack of social media skills . The truth is, the last two and a half months have been hectic. Business has been booming (thank you ), we finished renovating our house (thank you Reddings building Group ) got it on the market and under contract, and signed off on our new build with the wonderful Windamere Homes. All of this with two toddlers under my feet 7 days a week . Things are finally starting to get back to a more ...manageable pace, and I have so many beautiful babies and families to share with you. Let me tell you, there's some beauties in there! I'm going to keep quiet over the next few weeks and enjoy some time with my family before the craziness kicks off again. 2021 is looking to be a pretty big year for us, building our forever home is obviously at the top of that list, but I'm also looking forward to the smaller things. One on one time with my youngest as my oldest starts Kindy, and weekends that aren't filled with renovating! I would love to know what you're looking forward to the most for 2021. Feel free to share below XxX See more

01.01.2022 Happy eleven months to our darling Gretel Adeline <3 And happy International Day of the Midwife! Exactly eleven months ago, at 12:55am I arrived at the birth suite, and opened my eyes to see my two amazing midwives, Sharon and Hannah waiting for me. I will never forget the relief I felt in that moment, knowing my baby and I were safe and supported. Thirteen minutes later, at 1:08am Gretel was earthside Midwives are the silent heroes of our community, quietly going about their job, enabling and witnessing miracles every single day. Thank you to all of the wonderful midwives who empower, support and guide women into Motherhood and help bring our babies safely into the world XxX
