24.01.2022 When you're cleaning up while renovating and find a hidden gem. This is the shell of a little baroque mandolin I started building 10 years ago... Time to get the workshop finished!
23.01.2022 Final touches to this beautiful Kay guitar. If you watch closely you can see the "spirit" evaporate on the surface.
18.01.2022 Something's brewing! As soon as these renovations are done we've got some announcements to make...
17.01.2022 Another fine old Maton leaving the bench. Fretdress, setup and reinforcement of cracked soundboard. The fretboard is due for a sand/level as soon as the frets wear out again.
16.01.2022 One of my loyal customers came in with a nice Maton that unfortunately suffered from buzzing after it was knocked of its stand during a gig. Upon further inspection it not only had a crack on the top along the grain, but also one of the braces inside has snapped. Guess this one needs some serious surgery.

14.01.2022 I finally found some time to get into doing the thing I love most. Made a Cricket Bat Diddly Bow for South Dudley Tom to play on his gig's. Pretty stoked with the end result. Low Bass sound and percussion friendly. https://m.facebook.com/story.php
14.01.2022 We're planning 2 full-day CBG workshops to be held in February 2019. Here's a little flashback to our first 2 workshops held in Archies Creek Hall. More info soon!
14.01.2022 This old Kay guitar was half stripped of its finish when I was asked to recoat it. The goldleaf screen print made it hard to copy the existing sunburst, so we had to go with a slightly darker tone. Overall this ended up very well and all it needs is a few topcoats of shellac before the neck can be reattached.
13.01.2022 Finished this lovely Maton that had a crack in the top and a loose brace. Turned into a great playable instrument again.
13.01.2022 Spread the word! New workshops for February next year. Gift voucher available in case you might want this as a Christmas present.
11.01.2022 The cracked top on the Maton has been fixed and is awaiting clean up. Always good to protect the instrument on the inside when doing a fiddly glue job.
01.01.2022 One of my Team Members came with the question if I could replace the broken cover plate on his acoustic bass. I started out with the idea of making a wooden replacement, but with help of another Team Member, we decided to go with a new 3D printed version. There was only a few pieces left of the old cover plate and with a lot of measuring and computer work, we came up with a first print that only needs a few minor adjustments. The final print will be ready in a few days. As always, there's nothing that's not fixable!
