12.01.2022 Sad to announce that due to new restrictions Porcelain Alice will no longer be able travel from Sydney to perform at our show this Saturday. We welcome past Vanguard headliners 'The Human Heatwave' Jacqueline Furey, and 'The Farcical Las Vegas Showgirl' J'aiMime to the line up. It's been a very rough 18 months for the events industry and I sincerely thank everyone for their ongoing support of Vanguard. I look forward to celebrating our 50th show with you all this weekend and... promise we'll get Porcelain Alice to our stage when we can. Thank you, Lillian x

07.01.2022 Hi everyone, Yesterday afternoon we made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Vanguard show on April 17 due to concerns surrounding the spread of COVID-19 and advice from Australia's chief medical officers. In light of the Prime Minister's press conference this morning, we now learn that indoor gatherings of over 100 people are banned indefinitely - potentially for 6 months.... We would like to thank everyone's support for Vanguard and particularly the many people who help make this show run - performers, photographers, our stage manager Jade Nuvoux, assistants, and of course the fabulous staff at The Wickham. We hope to continue running shows again soon in the future and ask that you support us and the many other events which have been impacted by this. This is having a devastating impact on the arts community.
