This means we would be back in the salon from Monday 19th October. As we’ve all learned in 2020, life is unpredictable and can change by the day. With this in mind, we have decided to hold off for a moment before we contact everyone to reschedule their appointments. We know how difficult these constant changes of appointments can be... and we’d like to make sure that when we make that call to you, we are scheduling your appointment with 100% certainty. These ponytails are sent to local wig makers who work with local charities and hospitals to make charitable wigs for people suffering from cancer, alopecia and other medically induced hair loss conditions. Your hair can be coloured or uncoloured, any hair type or texture. The only requirement is that you are cutting off a minimum of 20cm, which actually isn’t as much as you think.... 21.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM: CLINT We’re all currently celebrating the one year anniversary of Clint’s arrival at Vanity Originally from Perth, he’s got over 15 years of industry experience, including working fashion festivals and catwalk shows in crazy places like Fremantle Prison. He made his way to Melbourne 6 years ago, and after working in some incredible salons over the years, he finally found his home with us.... A true all-rounder, Clint loves creating lived-in colours and styles. He’s super passionate about creating styles that are easily replicated at home and takes the time to educate his guests on all the products and steps to do so. He’s also the King of TV series, so if you’re stuck on what show to binge next, he’s got plenty of recommendations for you! Clint is currently studying psychology so he’s with us part time. This means you’ll need to secure your appointments with him as his time is limited!

BUT WE STILL HAVE TWO DAYS LEFT! In order to try and fit in as many of you as possible before this closure, we are open all day tomorrow and Wednesday until 7:30pm. After which we will be closed for a minimum of 6 weeks.... Most of you probably aren’t aware that 95% of our social media content is mapped out and collected at least 1-2 months in advance. 05.01.2022 IT’S TIME FOR A PRODUCT RECOMMENDATION FROM CLINT: I love the Touchable spray wax from Kevin Murphy! It’s a weightless finishing spray that I use a lot when styling short hair, including my own! It gives you texture and hold without being sticky, which is rare for a wax based styling product AND it lasts all day.... It has Milk Thistle, Hibiscus flower extract, Sea lavender and carrot seed oil to help with the condition and protection of your hair and leaves a healthy, lovely shine! It’s a perfect time saving, short hair styling product, and it’s so versatile! I have even sprayed it into my hair when it’s towel dried to create a slicked look by combing it through, but I use it mostly in dry hair. A quick spray and then I push my hair into a style, then another quick spray to set, and I’m done!

05.01.2022 JESS RECOMMENDS: Kerastase Blond Absolu Cicaplasme. Blond Absolu Cicaplasme is a must have for any blonde or guest with pre lightened hair - it is a leave in treatment that has a heat protectant of 230 degrees, softens, adds shines and smoothes split ends and fly aways. The two amazing ingredients in Cicaplasme that make it unique and amazing are Hyaluronic Acid and Edelweiss flower.... Hyaluronic Acid holds moisture to fill and heal irregularities in the hair fibre, for a smooth, deeply nourished cuticle and stronger strands. Edelweiss flower is rich in antioxidants, helping to protect hair against pollution and environmental factors. You can use this hair serum many ways, using a 2-4 pumps depending on the thickness of your hair or how thirsty it is for moisture. Apply on towel-dried hair before blow drying or you can leave on overnight as a treatment. It is super lightweight and I personally love using it as a finishing serum on my hair as oils can sometimes way my hair down - think of it as a hydrating lip balm for the hair. I love this product as it is never to heavy for my hair, and every time I use it everyone asks me how do I get my blonde so shiny and soft!
