24.01.2022 Looking for a day out with the kids over the school holidays. Come along to Moruya Racecourse for the Batemans Bay Cup. There will be some great fashion, a bouncy castle, lots of horse action and champagne for the mums and dads.



23.01.2022 Did you get to see the gorgeous waratahs at the Moruya Markets last week? So vibrant and alive, the fellow said he will probably have about three more Saturday markets before his flowers finish up for the year. Also, another fantastic stall that was selling delicious cup cakes - I think it was called Cuppa Cakes. One referral we got from a passing customer "Those cup cakes are awesome, and I dont even like cakes!"

22.01.2022 With winter here Moruya market customers will be happy to know that Alfred & Jane (delicious homemade ice cream stall) have added hot soup to their menu. Last week we got a luscious big cup of fresh roasted pumpkin soup topped with sour cream, cracked pepper and a sprinkle of parsley. Yum! Also, tomorrow at Moruya, The Blue Ruins will be setting up and playing some great music.

22.01.2022 Feel like a bit of harmonica while you shop? Damian and Paul are going to be set up under our umbrella tomorrow. Come and join your friends for a coffee and a catch up. Kirsty and Frazer have mentioned that their vege garden is going crazy, so you can check out what they have to offer tomorrow.

I am planning on getting my fresh almond meal from the Mark @ Bay Nut Roasting Company, and my weekly supply of fresh local produce from Frazer, Mary and Amanda. Whats on your shopping list?

21.01.2022 Dont forget the Eurobodalla Bike week ride starting at 11am at Riverside Park, a fun ride with all the family. We are planning on a short break between making coffees to take the kids for a spin along the Moruya River.

20.01.2022 Sunday race meeting at the Moruya Jockey Club - its always a big day out with gates opening at 11am. There will be kids entertainment and Fashions on the Fields some come dressed in your Sunday Best!



20.01.2022 Another up date for tomorrows market - St Mary's is going to have a fundraising cake stall - if it looks anything like the picture she just sent me Yum yum!

20.01.2022 Did you know - Mark from the fresh roasted nut stall @ Moruya Country Markets now sells freshly ground almond meal. It is great for those with gluten free diets and I find it makes my Middle Eastern Orange Cake really light and fluffy. He will be here tomorrow with his broad cross section of nuts to choose from.

19.01.2022 Moruya Country Markets will be on again in the morning - it may be a bit soggy underfoot but all our regular veggie growers will be sure to be there with this weeks harvest.

19.01.2022 Bodalla Fair this Sunday. Once again I am in the market for the annual winter dressing gown for the kids. Lots of quirky little stalls here with the locals bringing out their home made bits and pieces. There will also be the fun rides and the school canteen will be pumping out Deavonshire Tea for one and all.

18.01.2022 Starting out at 6am for a 100km mountain bike ride sound appealing? Sunday morning at Callala Beach, Black Heart events are coordinating an event with registrations on Saturday afternoon. We will be there bright and early to provide the caffine hit to get the legs pumping.



18.01.2022 Are you a farmer looking for some insights into the latest in the cattle industry? Bega Cheeese is hosting the inaugural Future Ready Dairy Farms Expo next weekend at the Bega show ground. There will be guest speakers, produce and products on display, games and rides for the kids. If you want to know the latest in farming this is the event for you.

17.01.2022 Feeling peckish on a Saturday morning .... well guess what- Moruya Market has a fabulously tasty new stall. Cameron Williams and family have set up their tandouri oven and are serving up delicious tandouri chicken. It provides a perfect way to end a morning of market shopping. Lets hope the weather clears - Damien and Paul are to set to play some smooth tunes so hope to see you there.

16.01.2022 The Sapphire Coast Turf Club is racing this Sunday to coincide with the Merimbula Jazz Festival events. There will be live music and the gates open at 11.30am.

14.01.2022 Merimbula Rotary Market is holding its monthly event down on Ford Oval beside Main Beach on Sunday. We are hoping that Neville & Lesley Smith from Imlay Nuts have recovered from the floods earlier in the year and are up and running again with their delicious locally grown hazelnuts and olive oil. The Blue Ruins will be setting up on the oval, so it should be lovely morning out in the sunshine.

14.01.2022 Heading down Bega way? The Sapphire Turf Club are holding the Eden Community Race Day on Monday - gates open at 11am. Its always a great day out, and their track holds up well to a bit of rain so it will be on no matter what the weather.

14.01.2022 What will tomorrows weather bring? We have some oranges in the cool room, and will bring out our freshly squeezed juice tomorrow if the weather looks good. So for those of you not heading up to Majors Creek Folk Festival this weekend Moruya Country Markets should be a nice place to spend your Saturday morning. We have a new musician playing Roland Aronson - no vocals, just acoustic guitar, come along a check him out.

12.01.2022 Who said school want fun? This Saturday come along to our Bohemian Ball where we are celebrating the community we live in. Theres a three course meal, drinks on arrival, lounge chairs, lava lamps and Spicy Fruit Chutney to get us dancing. Dress up - black tie or bohemian. It will be a great night out and a good excuse for grown ups to have some fun at school. Tickets $55 available from Moruya Primary School or the Rustic Pantry.

12.01.2022 Love a long mountain bike ride? Black Heart Events are holding a 100km & 50km bike race similar to the AROC Mogo event. It is going to be held on the 7th August at Callala Beach. Check it out.

10.01.2022 Moruya Country Markets will be on again in the morning - the playground area is still fenced off, and the stalls are being spread along the River which has been rather special. It is quite a challenge to locate your favourite stalls, but if you are looking for a coffee just open your ears and Spicy Fruit Chutney will let you know where to find us!

09.01.2022 Riverside Park will be humming tomorrow morning with some fantastic musicians playing - we will be hosting David Knight at our van - people who saw him at Majors Creek last weekend know just how fabulous he is! From 11am onwards Art Central are holding an event called River Rock where you can see The Blue Ruins, Sarah Cowan and Friends, Jam Pact and many more. If you love live music Riverside Park is the place to be.

Spicy Fruit Chutney are joining us to liven up your coffee moment. Apparently "Dowry" (Fluers collection) will be back at the market tomorrow - cant wait to see what she has been creating while she has been away!

07.01.2022 Ever thought of riding 100km of slippery, muddy bush fire trails on a unicycle. On Sunday there were 4 unicyclists up for the challenge - I saw at least 1 rider come in after 6 hours on the bike. He was MUDDY!

We are also hoping that Julie from the soap stall will be bringing some of here lovely fresh fruit salad that she was selling at Candelo last weekend. It was delicious - full of raspberries, blueberries and strawberries with a big dollop of yoghurt on top. Just the ticket at the end of a busy morning market.

Had a sneak peak at some amazing gear - if you love camping this is great stuff. See you there. It is difficult for her to find the time these days because she has been busily writing her short stories - one of which was a finalist in this months Country Style short story competition.

Located on the oval right beside Main Beach, its a pretty pleasant stroll and there are usually quite a few second hand stalls there if you like to have a bit of a ferret about looking for treasures.
