19.01.2022 $330,000 raised! Variety Resurrection Run wasn't just about fun (although it was definitely that) it was also about working together to support kids in need. When we started planning this event we weren't even sure it was going to be allowed to go ahead but this incredible result for kids made all the work by entrants, officials and staff worth it. We are currently recruiting for a Kids Support Coordinator who is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Kids Support framework to enhance Variety's position as a leading children's charity in NSW and ACT. To start, this is a 12-month maternity cover joining a small but high performing team dedicated to supporting Variety families. 12.01.2022 Trinity received a Variety Heart Scholarship in The Arts for her songwriting. "With my Scholarship, I now have guaranteed six months more of guitar lessons, so that I can better myself as a performer. Because of Variety, and the Scholarship, I have had some incredible opportunities, and will have more in the near future. I am forever grateful to Variety for all they have done for me." 12.01.2022 We know you want to be there for local kids during hard times kids like Briony and Jacqueline. After a bushfire devastated their farm and home, they then had to face COVID-19 and the shutdown of their school. With only an old computer at home and no money to buy a new one, they were in danger of missing out completely on online school. Thanks to the kindness of our Variety donors, we were able to provide them with a grant for 2 new laptops so they didn't fall behind.... We know you believe every child deserves the best education to unleash their future - and that it would be just wrong for any child to miss out because of where they live, or because they can't afford a computer. 06.01.2022 On the recent Postie Bike Dash, we visited the bushfire affected town of Bowraville. While we were there we chatted to David Taylor, Principal of Bowraville Central School. He told us what a difference the laptops that Variety granted his students has made to their school during a pandemic and beyond.
