22.01.2022 While things are starting to slowly return to the new normal way of life this has been our view for the past 6 or so weeks. We've also got a few interesting articles on the pension drawdowns and market volatility.

15.01.2022 Here's our February 2020 Market Update

11.01.2022 Dr Shane Oliver, Head of Investment Strategy and Chief Economist, AMP Capital provides us with insights on current share markets despite all the noise and worries around coronavirus and central bank concerns.

10.01.2022 I think many of us are suffering from what could be described as GCF Generalised Crisis Fatigue with none more so than our Victorian friends who are once again heading home. Drought, bushfires and a global pandemic all in the space of 12 months have left us all a bit worn out but also maybe a bit more resilient to the media headlines. I’m not exactly sure what would have to happen now to shock any of us after this year! That said, we have the US election to look forward t...o so who knows what’s to come. Most of us at Varria are back to the office although we all continue to share our time between the home and work office to allow the maintenance of some physical distancing. It’s proven to be very productive with less travel time for the stay at home days. We feel extremely lucky to have a business that has been able to rapidly respond to the change to working remotely and continue to do our best to support others in the businesses and broader community that have felt the harsh effects of the pandemic. https://www.varria.com.au//Insights-2019-20-low-returns.pdf

04.01.2022 During any type of crisis communication and understanding are key aspects to help us cope. With this in mind I would encourage you to read the latest Insights newsletter from Dr Shane Oliver as he walks through 5 key historical charts that help to understand the behaviour of markets.

04.01.2022 Every active fund manager and equity research house that we use is working overtime to consider and act on measures to protect portfolios and add value. They are also in constant contact with us providing updates on their actions. If we all look calm on the surface, I promise you the little legs are kicking away! 03.01.2022 We're still here - it may be working remotely but you are in steady hands. Here's all the things you need to know about changes to the minimum pension payments, Centrelink, markets and portfolios. https://www.varria.com.au//update-on-life-behind-closed-d/
