23.01.2022 WINTER FLOW...Since the weather has become cooler and our days darker, Ive found myself naturally turning inward to give nourishment. Winter mornings can be slow to start so Ive add a face massage to my oil cleanse to ease in, deeply invigorate and wake sweetly. Each day has a variation including these movements in the video. Im guided by however Im feeling, mindful of what my body needs and aware of my internal rhythm. Intuitively my hands move soothing some areas like t...he forehead and carefully stretching out others, like the cheeks and jaw. This small, kind act reminds me of a Sanskrit word Sneha, which means Oil. The same word also carries the dual meaning of Love, Compassion and Warmth through touch. Likewise our plant oils and essences along with the attention of self love, allow both our body and mind to experience bliss and beauty as one These movements are fun to practice and once you find your flow they will enrich your cleansing ritual. 07.01.2022 Mornings must be quick and easy for me with 2 little boys theres a lot to organise! Heres my skin care routine which hasnt changed in a decade, however there will be occasional variations in oils due to seasonal changes. With the weather becoming warmer, I have chosen our Santalum Cleansing Crème which I use to wash my face in the shower. Its gentle, grounding and smells amazing. So many clients comment that even a few moments of this ritual in the morning helps the...m to connect within and feel nurtured. Its a truly beautiful start to the morning. Once Im dressed, I apply our Rose Mist. The exotic Rose plant essences keep my skin supple. Knowing the history of Rose and where we source our plant essences keeps my mindset loving and engaged in a higher energy. Next, I apply 3 pumps of Luminous Serum. With my skin still damp from the mist, my skin drinks it in deeply. I call this my skin food. Being a mum of 2 young boys, there are definitely mornings where I could use some help, and I can rely on Luminous every single time! In all her glorious botanical synergy, she helps me look fresh and my best. Then 2 pumps of Rose Moisturiser which is lightweight but packs a hydration punch. Lastly, 5 drops of Radiance Botanical Elixir this is my golden oil. Its silky feel keeps my skin incredibly soft. MY EXPERIENCE: You might be surprised to hear this, but when it comes to skincare, scent, color or texture are not that important to me. I mean, if they are enjoyable, then it's a lovely bonus, but to me what matters the most is how efficient a product is. I guess that comes from the fact of having struggled with acne for so long. In the case of the Harmony Elixir though, I can't emphasize enough how much I love its scent. This light, fresh and subtle floral is so delightful that I would definitely wear it as a perfume if the lovely Vasara ladies were ever to craft it. And what is very interesting is that the oil wasn't formulated for scent. The ingredients were put together for their properties, and it turned out that the harmony of the formula manifested in the scent too. While I am in love with the aroma, this jade green oil also happens to be very efficient. It feels very light on the skin and leaves no greasy residue. It is also calmly efficient: by that I mean that it works its magic without being disruptive (while that may sound like a paradox, in the past I have tried some products targetting inflammation that were "aggressively" anti-inflammatory). It is soothing, doesn't make me break out, and after continued use my skin does look healthier. These are tangible facts, but I find that with skincare there are also intangible aspects: some products have an "aliveness" that I couldn't quite define, and the Harmony Elixir is definitely part of that category. Using it feels truly soothing and nurturing, and I often find myself reaching for it after a tiring or stressful days. What about you, do you have any pick-me-up products?
