24.01.2022 Vasey RSL Care Brighton celebrated a birthday today for Joan with a delicious Black Forest cake, and all other residents enjoyed it for their dessert at lunchtime. A group singalong for 'Happy Birthday To You' put a big smile on her face :)

22.01.2022 Residents at Vasey RSL Care Ivanhoe enjoyed making some Valentine's Day themed decorations, over recent weeks. They were also treated to a lovely chocolate surprise with breakfast on Valentines day, last Sunday, and some special cupcakes from the kitchen for afternoon tea!

22.01.2022 Vasey RSL Care Brighton hosted a wonderful High Tea to celebrate the Queen's Birthday. Residents enjoyed beautiful finger food, tea, cappuccinos, good music and a Royal family trivia quiz.

19.01.2022 Residents at Vasey RSL Care Bundoora celebrated Chinese New Year with Resident Kim. Kim loved giving out the red envelops and fortune cookies this year. A big thank you to Krystal for being our dragon as we were unable to use our usual dragon this year. Thank you to the kitchen for providing us with some yummy Chinese food.

18.01.2022 Vasey RSL Care Brighton was really 'brightened' up yesterday with a gorgeous donation of flowers from the lovely Sally from Pash Flowers in Bay Street. Thank you Sally! Residents had a lovely time flower arranging and they did a great job!

17.01.2022 Last week was National Volunteer Week and at Vasey RSL Care Bundoora we celebrated with an afternoon tea for our wonderful volunteers. We had lots of laughs and everyone did a little introduction of themselves and what their role here is at Bundoora - even though many have been here for a long time, they don't all know each other! We thank them as we wouldn’t be able to go the extra mile without their help

17.01.2022 Residents at Vasey RSL Care missed our annual Master Chef competition so decided to have Bundoora bake off. Dinka our Chef Krystal, lifestyle, Lynn Volunteer, and Janet from the laundry dressed in our Master Chef costumes and got to work to make a ginger fluff. Lots of fun was had and accusations of cheating I think in one photo you can see Janet hiding an egg. residents got the giggles as Janet was up to her antics once again. Dinka took our first place followed by Janet not sure what happened there ??? Thanks everyone who participated in making it such a fun day.

16.01.2022 Frankston South residents and staff participated & enjoyed Christmas party with live entertainment & raffle draw!

12.01.2022 Residents at Vasey RSL Care Bundoora had such a fun Pancake day they flipped pancakes and some even landed on others heads, the staff got involved as well and one of our residents broke out his bottle of Bailey's to share with the group and it turned into a lovely party. We all had a fun day and won't be having dinner tonight !!!

07.01.2022 Vasey RSL Care Bundoora residents had a special afternoon tea yesterday for a very special lady Betty. Betty turned 100!!!! and enjoyed her Covid birthday party with a few of her friends and family including her grandson from Japan. A wonderful celebration was had by all in attendance the residents enjoyed a glass of champagne and some delicious food. A special thank you to Costco for the beautiful cake it's these acts of kindness that make all the difference during this time.

05.01.2022 Residents from Vasey RSL Care Bundoora enjoyed a cozy, intimate lunch for two to celebrate Valentines day. Unfortunately some of our resident' s partners were unable join in with us this year due to restrictions let's hope we can be together next Valentine's day.
