22.01.2022 Interlaced is an experiment in combining improvised performance and virtual reality drawing into a live-streamed event in a shared virtual space. Using bespoke software, performer and current PHD candidate Ioannis Sidiropoulos’ movements will be tracked in real-time as he performs under lockdown in Athens, Greece. These movements will then be mapped into a virtual reality environment where visual artist and MFA Research student Susannah Langley will draw in response to them ...from the Centre for Projection Art in Melbourne. Joining this dialogue will be musician and sound artist Bridget Chappell performing in Mildura to create a dynamic and multi-sensory experience. Tune into this exciting online collaboration on Sunday 22 November at 8pm AEDT on the Interlaced website: http://go.unimelb.edu.au/8oni This project was proudly supported by the Experimental Collaborations Grant, funded by the SSAF Grant program and UMSU Southbank.
