24.01.2022 In National Volunteer week we celebrate all our wonderful volunteers. The 2021 theme of "Recognise. Reconnect. Reimagine" largely represents the work that we do. #NVW2021

20.01.2022 Leading in to National volunteer week we asked a number of our volunteers why they volunteer with VCC Emergencies Ministry. Here's what Valmai said. #NVW2020

17.01.2022 A message of thanks from Ambulance Victoria to all Victorian’s.

16.01.2022 VCC EM volunteers continue to be busy supporting communities following the recent flood & storm event. One of these areas is in the Latrobe City Council area where our volunteers are on the ground with building surveyors and Health officers visiting properties that have had various levels of damage and checking in with the residents. Pictures are of one of our teams and some pics of devastation in the area. (That hole in the road could have a person in it and it be over their head)

These will be followed up with a short face to face session when COVID guidelines allow. At this stage areas with dates planned including Melbourne metro, Woodend, Swan Hill and Warnambool. More dates to follow. Check out www.vccem.org.au/training

07.01.2022 What an amazingly busy 6 months we've had. The numbers speak for themselves. Our amazing volunteers have completed more days of service than the 2 and a half years prior. Thank you for all you do in supporting Victorian Communities in their times of crisis.

06.01.2022 Today we successfully ran our second online training pilot. Over the last 2 days we have training close to 40 new volunteers mostly from the Wangaratta and Wodonga regions. We are looking forward to finalising their training and having them all on board. We will now spend some time reviewing what needs to be tweaked and IF we cant offer face to face training near you soon hopefully we can utilise this.

05.01.2022 Some great and cold work being done by our colleagues at TCC Emergencies Ministry. (Our Tasmanian equivalent)

05.01.2022 Due to COVID-19 we must all adapt and change. After postponing training for a few months we thought we were going to be able to begin face to face training today however due to increased numbers of COVID-19 cases this wasn’t deemed safe. In two weeks we adapted the training to deliver 80% of the content online face to face. Thanks to all involved in making this happen.
