23.01.2022 Please join us for our FINAL ROUNDING DAY FOR THE YEAR!! Sunday, November 8th, 8am-12pm. This is a half-day retreat at home, designed to deeply give a refreshing experience and inward focus to renew your routine and your commitment to your daily Meditation practice.... With all that has been going on in the world these last few months, we all need the opportunity to take our nervous system to a deep level of rest and remove built-up stress, fatigue and worry - this is what the art of 'Rounding' gives us. The rejuvenation day combines experience with knowledge. It gives you a unique time for withdrawal from daily responsibilities and lets your body-mind rest and rejuvenate. The day includes an ancient sequence of asana (gentle Hatha yoga), pranayama (Yogic Breathing), Meditation and resting called ‘Rounding’. Rounding is an Advanced Meditation Practice. This will be guided, online, by our teacher, just like in-person, but from the comfort of your home! We will send you a pdf of the asana, pranayama and rounding sequence. You'll also receive a hand out of yummy Ayurvedic recipes to enjoy that day to make it an immersive at-home retreat! 23.01.2022 If you can think, you can meditate!! A lot of students who learn to meditate with us have tried other meditation techniques before and found them difficult or ineffective. They are then surprised at how refreshingly easy, simple, yet effective our Veda Meditation technique is.... Veda Meditation doesn’t require you to try to stop your thoughts, to clear your mind of thoughts or to use effort focusing or being 'mindful'. During the practice of Veda Meditation, we work with the nature of the mind and the awareness effortlessly settles inward to quieter, more subtle, more peaceful levels of the mind. When this occurs, the body simultaneous gains profound rest and relaxation, while the mind creates more orderly coherent brain functioning. It's practised for 20 minutes, ideally twice daily, sitting comfortably. There is no need for certain props, apps, postures or anything at all but your mind once you have learnt correctly from a qualified teacher in person. As our master used to say, ‘if you can think, you can meditate!’ it is accessible and achievable for anyone and everyone. Vitamin D relates to our immune function, nutritional absorption, sleep, mental health, bone health and energy. Now the days are getting warmer and longer, take some time to have fun in the sun.... If you’re concerned you have low Vitamin D levels after the long winter and isolation, pop into the clinic for a consultation and we have a chat. We can refer you for tests and recommend a nutritional and supplement plan to support optimal levels.

16.01.2022 A common theme we are sharing with our students this week! Usually, when we are busy, our positive self-care practices like meditation are usually the first to go. But this is the time when we need them the most!! As we transition out of lockdown and head into the festive season the nervous system is greatly stimulated. You may find stress, overwhelm, anxiety and sleep disturbances slowly creeping in.... Don’t forget your twice daily, 20-minute practice.
