I am very excited to share with everyone all the many wonderful benefits available (especially around your Health & Well-being) when you make a commitment to bring the practice of yoga into your life at any level you choose! This page is where you will find the most recent communication regarding yoga classes and Yoga Therapy I will be conducting.... Do you know the difference between Yoga and Yoga Therapy? What is Yoga Therapy? Yoga Therapy empowers and supports individuals to manage their health using the principles of yoga and applying a range of yoga practices developed within a professional therapeutic relationship. It is about assisting the whole individual, rather than focusing on the condition and the tools used may include postures ( asanas, breath work ( pranayama), mudras, relaxation, meditation, dietary advice, lifestyle counselling and self development guidance. As a registered nurse I have always had an interest in natural therapies and have continually studied throughout my professional life. I completed my Yoga Teachers Training in 2009 with Vitality Yoga, completed my Graduate Certificate in Yoga Therapy in 2016 with the Australian Institute of Yoga Therapy (AIYT) and registered with Yoga Australia as a registered yoga teacher and yoga therapist. I thoroughly enjoy my nursing career especially in my current role as a Community Health Nurse, being very passionate in educating people in disease prevention, health promotion and empowering people to learn how to self manage for improving their health and well-being. Western medicine acknowledges the value of many natural therapy practices, including yoga that are complimentary to improving an individual's health and wellness.Having worked in many facets of the health field my next goal is to pursue the path of bringing Yoga Therapy into the Health Sector, especially in Chronic Disease Management and Mental Health Programs and as a private clinician to help develop a deep and meaningful awareness of ways to self heal the body, mind and spirit in a supportive, caring and safe environment. 18.01.2022 What an awesome last 3 days I've spent at the Yoga Australia conference held in Melbourne!! Lorraine from Zenergy Kids Yoga and all the other guest speakers including International were absolutely amazing!! The wealth of collaborated knowledge generously disseminated has left me totally inspired and vastly informed with the multitude of benefits yoga offers especially around improved health and wellbeing. This experience has opened me up to what is really possible if a simple... practice of yoga is brought into our lives. It's value is self empowering!! I have much work to do now in sharing this knowledge outwardly in my new Yoga business. 06.01.2022 ABOUT THE GLOBAL YOGA THERAPY DAY It started as the seed of an idea that came during a meditation. The idea of creating a day where yoga therapists around the world can come together to collaboratively, collectively lift awareness and educate about the difference of Yoga Therapy. The inaugural GYTD was created and spearheaded by Ann Marie Johnston of YogaMate together with a team of volunteers and contributors from around the world. The event was held August 14, 2019; and sa...w the participation of yoga therapists across 5 continents in over 35 countries. In 2020, the GYTD began a collaboration with the Give Back Yoga Foundation.



04.01.2022 Welcome to 2018!! This is going to be a very exciting year with growth and expansion of Veda Yoga Therapies with the introduction of extra programs, including Men's yoga on Thursday evenings and some Monday casual day sessions. Tuesday evening small group sessions recommences on Tuesday 13th February 7.30 - 8.45 pm. ... The new fee structure gives an option of purchasing an upfront discount package of 5 sessions for $60. This will also provide an opportunity for flexibility in the allotted time frame to swap into the Monday casual session if not able to attend the regular Tuesday/Thursday sessions. Casual "week by week" fee is $16 per session. New people are welcome, please make contact to register. Really looking forward to seeing everyone again. Namaste

I had the privilege last weekend of being in Amy's presence at a special Workshop held in Melbourne " Assessing & Balancing the human system" Amy shared about her signature Optimal State Yoga Therapy Program.
