25.01.2022 Part of a slaughterhouse workers uniform are earplugs so they don't hear the screams of terror and pain coming from the animals they are murdering. Truckloads of defenceless pigs are being slaughtered everyday in a rush to fulfil supermarket orders for consumers who'll pick out pieces of once living pigs who died in agony. Please make the connection I did and leave these intelligent and beautiful animals off your menu. There's no need for cruelty in this day and age only roo...m for compassion and understanding. Make this Christmas about empathy and have a cruelty free celebration. Please. If you live in Melbourne please visit The KYND Butcher for all your Christmas cruelty free foods. See more
24.01.2022 This speaks volumes about society. Can't watch how animals are slaughtered. Then don't fund the cruelty, it's that simple. You're distressed watching the footage? Imagine what the animals go through? Humans are something else.
24.01.2022 Can we really justify this horror?
23.01.2022 I can’t wait to visit Liberation sanctuary on December 12th
23.01.2022 This is where they make Turkeys live before they are slaughtered.
21.01.2022 Listening to the names of racehorses who won all their races and still ended up at the knackery absolutely killed me. I used to jog with my mate tex around the Maribyrnong river 22 years ago, I’d see people walking beautiful horses along the river too. One day Tex and I jogged along beside these beautiful horses and I struck up a conversation with the guy leading them, his name was Mathew Ellerton. Mathew and is partner Simon Zahra were horse trainers and still are....Continue reading

19.01.2022 Written by Amanda Pella Today I am once again heartbroken! These 3 gorgeous Thoroughbred mares standing emaciated in the dogger pens waiting to learn their fate. Sold for $50 the lot to the local pet food factory. Their flesh worth less that $17 each! These beautiful mares - once gallopers, once broodmares - now they will die, with an empty stomach and a bullet to head. That’s all they are worth! $17 for their flesh! ... This is the one thing I miss about not having my charity - these are the horses I would rescue. These beautiful mares deserve a chance - they deserve love and yet their lives will end in a pen smelling the blood of the one shot before them! I understand it’s drought.. I understand there is not enough homes but there is no excuse for this! No animal deserves this!
19.01.2022 It’s only getting worse for Animals .. when it should be banned completely. Please keep fighting to Ban live export.
18.01.2022 Fishes are so disregarded by humans that many times they are kept half-ALIVE, using various methods such as covering them with ice and splashing water on them every now and then. This method of keeping them looking fresh is sickening and agony for them. Everyone knows that fish suffocate out of water. ... The reason? To postpone the phase of decomposition, the phase every dead body goes through, and keep the corpse as "fresh" as possible. Greed at the expense of an indefensible life. Please, let's be kind to ALL animals.
17.01.2022 When cruel bastards say you need meat to survive! Well here’s to Vegans who are doing 1 million times better in morals, health and being totally cruelty free and SURVIVING
16.01.2022 Just received the following email this morning from Schultz Dairy in Timboon Victoria where his organic business supplies over a hundred organic retail and cafes across Melbourne Victoria one of them being my favorite Monk Bohdi Darhma - I was concerned naturally about the bobby calves and what they do with them and of course the answer is only depressing. I did visit this dairy and tried to persuade them choose a cruelty free way of making money, but they were hostile and u...ninterested. Hello Thank You for taking the time to email us, very much appreciated. At Schulz Organic Farms we see the issue of bobby calves and their treatment as important. Every animal on our farm is treated in accordance to all regulations from our regulatory bodies, The Department of Primary Industries, the RSPCA and Australian Certified Organics. Our staff take great care and concern for all animals and every calf is treated indiscriminatively as if they we part of our herd replacement program. The calf buyers from the point of sale also comply with regulation. It is unsustainable to keep every calf that is raised, so we sell a small percentage to calf buyers. From this point we no longer have control however we observe the buyers treatment of the animals. We are also only 45minutes from the abattoir and the calves all get a feed right before being picked up. Kind Regards Simon Schulz Organic Farms Pty Ltd Ph:0355983803 www.schulzorganicfarms.com.au, www.twitter.com/SchulzOrganic, www.facebook.com/SchulzOrganicFarms
16.01.2022 Two years ago this mother cow gave birth to 4 calves and they’re all still alive with their mum. The farmers helped the mother by bottle feeding them too.

14.01.2022 On Saturdays tour we went to the The KYND Butcher who gave us all samples of the most delicious plum pudding with toffee sauce! I was so impressed with the pudding and so as a special treat for everyone taking the December 12th tour to Liberation sanctuary, you will find one of Karen’s delicious vegan puddings in your gift bags. Based in Castlemaine, Pud For all Seasons has fast become renowned for Gourmet Puddings in Australia. ... Pud For all Seasons was founded in early 2004 by Karen Kelly. This stay-at-home mum independently moved to Castlemaine from Melbourne and was looking for a "little" part-time business to satisfy her passion for fine cuisine, and to exercise her creative mind. A selection of fine puddings was the inspired result. **** I highly recommend you visit Pud For all seasons web page www. Pudforallseasons.com.au/shop/payment and order your own.
13.01.2022 A beautiful review by Di Lewis who took the Galahad’s sanctuary tour yesterday... The day finally arrived where we were able to take the long awaited Vegan For A Day Mount Macedon Tour including Galahad’s Animals I was so excited that I was awake from 3am lol... The tour kicked off with a warm friendly welcome from our host Ginger who greeted us by presenting each of us with a take home bag full of yummy vegan goodies A yummy breakfast at HealThy Self Co. was then enjoyed, after which I spent most of the remainder of the visit crawling around the floor retrieving the adorable resident Pom Arlos’s ball from tricky places, where he had ‘accidentally?’ lost it #shadesoflouie? Next stop was a visit to the beautiful people The Vegan Butchers in Ascot Vale. So many amazing delicious kind products to choose from They spoilt us with tastings of their yummy products & generous gift packs to take home Then back onto the bus which was driven by the friendly Basim, to head to Gisborne, where a beautiful soul Lynne runs a magical place called Galahad's Sanctuary & Pet Therapy. This is where I was finally able to meet the reasons for my 3am wake up ‘Mr & Mrs Camel’ whose antics I have been following online. And I was not disappointed, Milkshake has the biggest friendliest personality ever. Kisses & head butts all around. I was so bewitched by her, I didn’t even mind the ‘Something about Mary’ type streak of camel slobber thru my hair lol Beautiful alpacas, sheep cows, doggies all adorable, & living their best lives after being saved from horrible fates by the beautiful Lynne. All too soon we had to say goodbye to our new friends (I’ll be back tho cause we were so bewitched by all these loveable furkids we didn’t have time to meet the chickens) Off to @Mr Macedon for a delicious lunch where the food just kept coming. A stop at the wonderful Olivias Pantry for dessert which turned into just coffee with a delicious tiramisu to takeaway as we couldn’t possibly fit anything else in lol (confession, I ate the delicious tiramisu at 11pm in front of the Tv lol) And not finished yet lol a stop at the picturesque Gisborne Peak Winery for wine tasting & pizza. Finally the last stop was Goji Kitchen & Bar which I had to skip as I couldn’t fit anything else in) A backpack full of goodies (even a yummy rocky road treat (which I ate for breakfast haha) given to each of us by one one of the guests who has a new chocolate business ‘The Naughty Vegan lol) What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of lockdown. making beautiful new human & animal friends, good food, country air, being kind #govegan #supportsmallbusiness #bekindtoanimals
13.01.2022 The first of the big three spring feature races is upon us, with a capacity field of 18 set to face the starter in today’s G1 Caulfield Cup (2400m). All the commentators are talking about is the possibility of rain lessening the odds for winners, for greedy mugs. Nothing about the safety of horses, strained and slipped discs, broken canons, heart attacks. On track deaths. Horses, handlers, owners, jockeys, commentators, race callers, a couple of caterers, a vet, stewards, t...he usual motley crew of gypsy’s and villains that are necessary to orchestrate this carnival of cruelty have exemptions to be there today. But, protesters have been forbidden. This is the grey area of this pandemic and the preferences given to protect archaic institutions that revel year after year in cowardly acts of Animal cruelty.
12.01.2022 On December 12th we get to meet all these beautiful friends of Patty’s
11.01.2022 This is where I took my tour yesterday and it was absolutely beautiful. Galahad’s also has an Airb&b and at $128 a night it is extremely popular but I have just noticed they have available nights in December, January and throughout next year. Please have a look at everything this wonderful sanctuary has to offer, because it all goes back to helping the Animals.

08.01.2022 How can you look into the eyes of a sweet innocent new born calf and say "but, I love cheese or I love cream or I love milk", you are robbing a new born calves milk!! You are robbing a new born calf of a life of freedom, please be VEGAN.

06.01.2022 .... how is anyone going to understand the truth about Animal cruelty if we don’t expose it and TELL PEOPLE HOW WRONG IT IS! Of course we don’t want to ostracise ourselves from our friends but we also don’t want to be silent. Animals clearly need our voices to help them.
04.01.2022 Written by Tineatte Trina Percy This is a visual nightmare. I'm so torn up inside at this picture. The suffering and fright in this pig's eyes make me feel dead inside. I have a pig and know how sensitive, loving, emotionally and physically like us in so many ways. I am so angry and I am ashamed of our species, mankind. It's pure laziness, apathy, narcissism and egomaniacal personality at being Top Dog and loading over every species on this planet. ... They have so many alternatives to eating a full and healthy diet but choose to continue this Neanderthal hold over animals. To supply food in massive amounts, the Factory Farming industry makes billions of dollars. Do you think they would allow anyone to mess that up, to give People information about the reality of their methods and not provide a different method of feeding their families. We are in the year of 2020. Still following the same old styles of old time farming animals when so many studies and medical research show this path of eating animals is dangerous to our health and a more plant friendly diet extends human lives without diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, respiratory problems, internal diseases such as heartburn, diverticulitis, colon cancer, constipation, and I can go on. Then there is the Medical Society and more importantly, the Pharmaceutical Industry. The most powerful and rich industry in the country. They make their zillions in supplying medicines for diabetes, heart disease, heartburn, ulcers, respiratory diseases, blood pressure, supply all the drugs to fight cancer, and every ailment that can be dropped off at the door of the Factory industry who supplies their products to the massive People who in troubling number suffers every ailment that makes money for our countries Physicians and Pharmaceutical companies. It's certainly not in their best interest to help us find ways to eat healthier and thereby live longer WITHOUT having to see physicians everyday and take many prescriptions daily. We are a society of sad, pathetic, lazy and apathetic people who say we care, say we want change, say we hate how things are being done. But in the end, We The People do nothing but sit and expect the next person down the line to do the work.

03.01.2022 So devastating and disgusting that so many humans ignore this suffering.
02.01.2022 Another beautiful review my Bassam who is also my new chauffeur for Vegan For A Day tours... Yesterday I drove the bus for Vegan For a Day. Woweeeee. What a day!! Fully recommend this. The tour started at Healthy and Co. In Yarraville where we all met and got to know each other over breakfast and coffee. All the foods that came out were pretty impressive and staff r amazing!! Then off we went to our next stop, The Kynd Butcher on union st in Ascot Vale. To my embarrassmen...t this was my first visit. We were presented with a talk and then a platter of delicious *cheese and *meats. And also given a bag of goodies that had lots of delicious samples.fully recommend this place. Then we headed off to Lynne McAlister sanctuary in Gisborne where Lyn and friends greeted us with big smiles. We met the two Camel residents who put on a show for us (if u have product in your hair your definitely going to have a close encounter ) and then off to meet all the other residents on this beautiful property with Mt Macedon in the background. Lyn and friends were very accommodating and served refreshment and finger foods at the end. Onto the bus and off to lunch at Mt Macedon. Was at the bottom of the mountain ,lunch was a cafe called Mr Macedon run by the smiling Marwan. This place went out of the way for this group and presented us with an amacing spread. Then to Olivias pantry in Kyneton with the lovely Andrea Fortunato and Valentina Rianna hosting us at thier cafe in the main st there with cakes and tarts as well as coffee. Back onto the bus and off to a winery where all the wines r vegan. Again the service and staff were very welcoming and professional. I was given my tasty non alcoholic wine (loves that the non drinkers were included in this ) and we were also served with pizzas with vegan boccolini. Mind u by now we were all maxed out and could not eat anymore , but got thru it. Back to Melb. Last stop back in Yarraville was Goje. Most of us could not fit another thing in and passed on goje. Yes I gave it a miss. Never happens. All up I have to say this was a awesome day!! Worth gifting someone with a tour or come on it your self. Well worth it. Ginger has done an amazing job in putting these together and communicates very well with all the places we visited as They were all very accommodating and happy to see us. A wonderful day spent with lots of beautiful souls. The 2 and 4 legged type!! Thank u ginger for such a awesome day!! (I didn't take as many pictures as I usually do. But here r some. https://www.veganforadaytours.com/
