25.01.2022 The opening of our sculpture show was a blast, thanks to all of our volunteers for a huge effort, the show runs all through November and the bar is open Saturday and Sunday afternoons for the next 3 weekends

24.01.2022 EDIT: Unfortunately due to the snap 5 day stage 4 lockdown the gardens will no longer be open this weekend. We hope to be able to re-open again soon. Open to the public every Sunday morning in Feb from 9.30am to 1pm. COVID safe hygiene behaviours apply, visitor numbers limited and we will be taking details at the gate for contact tracing. Come and visit!

17.01.2022 BIG Sculpture @ Veg Out open day awards 2 Nov. - 1 Dec images by Kerrie Pacholli Co-curators' Rob Taylor OAM, Mariella del Conte and sculptor / master printmake...r Adrian Spurr enjoyed the fruits of their hard labours on open day. Veg Out's People's Prize of $1,000 was awarded to Nicole Allen for Bums On Seats 2018. The Gardener's Prize of $500 was awarded Geoffrey Ricardo for The Articulations 2018. The day delivered perfect weather. Veg Out delivered delicious homemade pizza and a well stocked bar to quench any thirst and the crowds kept on coming throughout the entire day. Those magnificent sculptures are still on display for your viewing along with 16 other monumental competition works of art.

14.01.2022 BIG Sculpture @ Veg Out is now open every day until 6pm. The Veg Out Open Day is on Sunday 24th November, 11 - 5pm. There will be music, food and drinks - and the announcement of BIG Sculpture People’s Choice Award and Gardener’s Prize.

04.01.2022 BIG Sculpture @ Veg Out opening 2nd November 2 December by Open Media... There was a whole lot a BIG smiles and BIG love flowing at the official opening of the inaugural BIG Sculpture @ Veg Out competition on the 10 November 2019. Co-curators’ Adrian Spurr, Mariella Del Conte and Rob Taylor and their team of volunteers have worked for the last eight months scrupulously tending to every detail and polishing every leaf at the magnificent Veg Out gardens in the lead up to this most presitigious art happening. There were 40 entrants bidding for a position with 19 of Melbourne’s finest sculptors’ works selected, currently on display and available for purchase. Local dignitaries in the Honorable Martin Foley Minister for Creative Industries, Judith Jackson (Aunty Jacko), Port Phillip Mayor Dick Gross, Counsellor Andrew Bond along with the three Judges in Max Delany Artistic director and CEO of Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, Cameron Macindoe from Fundere Fine Art Foundry and the Espy’s Matt Mullins joined forces to select, announce and present the prize pool to the winners. The Grand ‘BIG Sculpture @ Veg Out’ prize of $5,000 was awarded to Mark Stoner for his 2019 stone piece ‘Geolife-1’ The Fundere Fine Art Foundry award of $2,500 went to Salvatori Lolicato for his 2019 ceramic piece ‘Metamorphosis’. The Espy prize of $2,000 was awarded to Craig MacDonald for his 2017 piece ‘She Spins’.
