24.01.2022 2015 Mitsubishi Pajero Exceed in for a DcDc charger fitment. Here at VDS you don't get the typical slapped in wire it up and out the door install. All fitments are made in as an OEM fashion as possible meaning a longer service life for the equipment installed, better protection of installed wiring and easier fault finding should an issue occur.

14.01.2022 Tow Pro Elite removed from one vehicle and reinstalled into a new tow rig. This was professionally installed only a couple of years ago. Apart from the messy under dash wiring and the control module just wedged behind a factory wiring loom there was exposed or non insulated wiring posing the potential for a shorted circuit. Photos are of original install Removal of TowPro and associated wiring returning vehicle back to standard Install into the new vehicle

10.01.2022 Chasing an Air con fault on a EEWWropean Ford Mondeo. Unfortunatley turned out to be the Climate Control Module.

06.01.2022 2017 Isuzu MUX. Electronic Brake Controller Install plus Battery isolator to Anderson Plug at the rear for a Caravan / Camper trailer. Products used and recommended by Vehicle Driveability Solutions are RedArc TowPro Elite v3 brake controller and SB112 battery isolator.

02.01.2022 The power of using an automotive oscilloscope for diagnosis of vehicle driveability issues. Replacing plugs and leads requires removal of the intake manifold on this engine. A time consuming job which had been completed by another mechanic. Unfortunately the ignition leads have broken down prematurely. But who would think that the new parts were the problem? The use of a scope identified the problem as being ignition related and outside of the combustion chamber, warranting further inspection of ignition components.

01.01.2022 Customer asked me to finish off his trailer plug installation. I think the scotch locks scared him off. I'm not surprised they scare me too. The damage these things do is incredible. Where the wires were pierced they had turned black from corrosion. Luckily the loom only had to be shortened by half an inch. Scotch Locks. Just Say No!
