13.01.2022 A heartfelt thanks to all those who have sent messages or attended the BBQ in honour of Chris on Wednesday afternoon. The support we have received has been incredible and it has given us great comfort knowing how much you care. For this we are eternally grateful and can’t say thank-you enough. Funeral arrangements have now been finalised, and due to COVID restrictions attendance is by invitation only. However the service will be streamed via Facebook commencing at 9:45am o...n Monday the 28th of September. 13.01.2022 It is with great sadness we have to announce the passing of Chris on Tuesday morning. Chris’s passing has come as a very sudden and unexpected event for all of us and we would like to thank everyone for their ongoing support. The messages we have received have been touching and it is humbling to know you all loved Chris as much as we did. At this time our main priority is to support each other, and as such we have decided to temporarily close Vella’s Foodstore until after t...he funeral. We do not have specific information about the funeral at present, but understand that due to COVID restrictions, limitations are placed on the number of people allowed in attendance. We also know that the Ooralea, Cuttersfield and wider community want to show their support and we would like to celebrate Chris’s life with you. With this in mind, we will release information about how to attend the funeral online and stream the service when these details are finalised. In the meantime, Leanne Comelli together with Josh Geiger are working on our behalf to arrange a celebration of Chris’s life. The celebration will be a chance for all of Chris’s family to thank-you for your ongoing love and support. Please join us on Wednesday the 23rd of September in the car park of Vella’s Foodstore from 4pm for a BBQ and to share a story about Chris. To be COVID compliant we ask those wishing to attend please be mindful of social distancing requirements, including the need to sign in and use hand sanitiser available on entry. Thank-you.
