22.01.2022 Finally got to an 80k ride! First for 2020 & first on Steel Poppy Midnight Rum since I bought him last year. What a powerhouse this little horse is and quite a challenge to ride novice pace (13 month rule). Looking forward to unleashing his talents further down the track. 22.01.2022 For sale: TB mare LilyJaz 13yo 16hh, has been in endurance training for most of the year & recently completed her first official intermediate ride with flying colours ( and only front shoes). Lily is a big strong mare with a long, ground covering stride. She has a pleasant nature and was only lightly raced - I have found her to be 100% sound. Very good recoveries both at home & her first 40k. Asking $1000 (+GST) pm me for further details.

20.01.2022 Piper VES & Jorja Gibbons took out 1st place junior at Starkeys on the weekend - Pipers first 80km ride. Very impressed with this mares ability & attitude. THANKYOU Jorja for riding her so well, she did give you a hard time for many kms.

18.01.2022 Entries will close for this event next Wednesday July 15 - which will give me time to get my entry list finalised. Just a reminder you must record your rides & the distance either with gps or phone app . Also I require every competitor, after youve completed each loop, to record your horses heart rate at 30 minutes after completion ( this way it works out the same for everyone and it will encourage good strapping/cooling down of your horse) heart rate MUST be 55bpm or less - and I rely on your honesty in this.
18.01.2022 Got this video of the Race from Mohd Faizal - thrilled to see Firenze ( Florence the Machine) looking so well and loping around so kindly for her rider. She was a challenge that war horse but I’m so glad I persevered and she’s found a great home. Hopefully Endurance riding will get started again in Malaysia and She can show her talent

18.01.2022 Finally caught up with BC results from Starkey’s & voila! Jorja & Piper were the the bomb Great result for this young mare’s first 80km.
15.01.2022 So far we have 9 entries in the 20/20 (back to back 20km rides) and one entry in the back to back 10kms ( 10/10) All are entering as one horse/one rider combinations. Prizes sponsored by Carbine Chemicals for all successful participants. No entry fee - get on board for a warm up comp for the restart of the endurance season.

08.01.2022 So while various authorities are confusing us all re riding/ exercising out horses & ourselves, here at Veloce I have continued my training regime for the horses Im intending to ride over Easter. My plan is Good Friday a.m. 40km ( local) ride on Veloce Divine. After lunch I will back up with a 10 or 20km ride on Piper VES. Saturday - 20km - Veloce Divine, afternoon -10km - Steel Poppy Midnight Rum. Eater Sunday - a.m. 20km - Veloce Divine. p.m. 10km Veloce Legend. This schedule may change, but thats the plan. Whats yours?

07.01.2022 So, on close of entries this evening there are 20 riders participating in the 20/20 coming up next weekend. Most are entering as one horse/one rider combinations; with one rider competing with 3 horses ( I dunno, 60/60??) and two of us as 2 horses/one rider. I will accept late entries but there is a catch - as there is no entry fee anyone entering after tonight has to ride 25kms each day to be eligible for a prize.

This giant(for Veloce) has been broken in for a year but has been brought along very slowly - as is my plan with larger horses - now as a five year old it’s time to start shaping him into a fine athlete.
