19.01.2022 Thank-you to everyone who participated in this years Velos In the Valley. Events like this are not possible without the support of our sponsors and volunteers. Our volunteers have helped us with setting up, driving of vehicles and helping with the logistics behind the scene. We are grateful for our sponsors and would like to thank Optus, Inspire Accounting & Business Services, Corry Cycles, Uvex, Thomas Borthwick & Sons, Team Group (Aust), TryBookings for helping us raise money. We still have a few items outstanding that need to be finalized but at the end of the day the event will have raised just over $15,900 with $1,000 going to All Abilities Mackay and the remainder to Tour de Cure.

This year we have selected All Abilities Mackay Inc as our local charity partner. We have picked these guys because we love what they do: they support families based in Mackay and advocate for the value, acceptance & inc...lusion for people with disabilities and their families. They provide a number of programs and are 100% volunteer driven. Once again Tour de Cure Australia will be our major charity partner. Tour de Cure exists to cover ground to cure cancer. The money raised goes to identify and fund the world-class cancer projects that they believe will have the biggest impact. Since 2007, they have funded 322 cancer projects and achieved 25 significant, world-class cancer breakthroughs. They have also helped to raise awareness about cancer prevention to more than 100,000 Australian school children through our Be Fit, Be Healthy, Be Happy program.
