24.01.2022 VPH SOLD Update// Could not be more thrilled to announce that our resident superstar Bart (VPH Ay Carumba) has sold to first to view who just happened to be a 3 Star FEI Vaulting home! This was following a very annoying abscess that held us up a bit but so worth the wait - what a career he is set to have!! Here he is showing his FIRST EVER vaulting exercises run through, you read right this is the first time to ever have anyone on his back trying anything of the sort, the kid barely even blinks! We are absolutely over the moon with this result, OTT’s can literally do ANYTHING! Lookout vaulting world Bart is on his way Another ripper OTT from the stables of Wilde Racing. 17.01.2022 VPH Nodz// 4yo 16.2hh OTT Mare by Foxwedge Anyone who knows me well knows that I’m always cautious with junior riders and the selection of horses I will allow them to sit on at VPH - being a mum myself I know how precious our children are and always prefer to err on the side of caution and wrap them up in cotton wool whenever I’m able to My standards of ‘kid safe mounts’ are quite high especially for one of my favourite little people/riders of all time the wonderful miss no...w 9yo Sigrid! Unbelievably following the re education of a racemare, owned and bred by Sigrid’s family this time 12 months ago, young Sigrid scored the ride (and ownership!) of the sweet 5yo after her parents Justin and Kirsten were so impressed with the blessed mare following her education here at VPH. Some of you may remember the gorgeous video Racing Victoria/Off The Track filmed on the beaut full circle story of that lovely mare Daisy having been bred and raced by the family and ending up right back where she began as Daisy version 2.0 (There’s not much cuter combinations than then 8yo Sigrid and wonder mare Phoenix Dane ‘Daisy’!). I thought surely this was a once in a life time event having such a young OTT match beautifully with such a young rider right in my own arena, and me actually be comfortable to watch them showjump and complete pony club together, definitely the only mare I knew at the time whom I would’ve trusted with such a special little tracker so early on in life! Fast forward 12 months to now and her wonderful family had earlier this year placed another special horse with us to complete our re education program, and amazingly this mare is now mare number two I can happily title child safe so early on! Another special experience having Sigrid and family pop in to see how she is going and have a ride/cuddle & a good catch up. Now here I am watching on, in absolute admiration for the OTT Thoroughbred, as I see the precious now 9yo Sigrid have the first ride outside of those employed by VPH on the angelic ‘Nodz’, whom less than 6 months ago was in full race training! The appreciation I have for this wonderful mare and the breed as a whole is second to none, experiences like this are such brilliant reminders of just how truly versatile and honest the OTT is, and gosh how often are they under appreciated! This particular mare is one of the kindest souls to have entered my gates, and I feel privileged to be able to train her. Horses like this are worth their weight in gold and then some, it’s just up to people like myself and team at VPH to bring it out and show the rest of the world just how sensational they can be

16.01.2022 VPH Weekend Wrap Up// Wonderful weekend of showjumping had by VPH, great efforts from all! Happy with the learning of client's horses taken out, our own horses and always rapt to see previous OTT Graduates in action with their owners - sporting grins from ear to ear!! Great job girls and boys! It's great to be able to be out and about again after we have all been locked up for so long, looking forward to much more of it. Thanks as always to Jen Mainland for putting on great jumping clinics that give our fur kids a chance to jump some proper rounds while building confidence throughout and working in a competition atmosphere. 15.01.2022 Bart is a gorgeous young man by Kaphero, he is approx 15.1-2hh and just turned 6yo, already ridden happily by intermediate riders upward - he comes across as a horse the whole family will get enjoyment out of long term. Lovely type of horse with a great front. Nice and compact with clean legs and a beautiful defined head. Sure to be quality enough as a hack if you so desired, with temperament to train there too and really enjoy the ride. With his conformation I would tip th...at he can produce a neat and powerful jump once he has the training to pop over some height. He also possesses very good movement, definitely above average for a Thoroughbred! Bart had an unimpressive race career with 7 starts and retired sound, he is transitioning into a new career like a fish to water, another ripper OTT from our favorite stable Wilde Racing! Really quiet young horse with a lovely personality, behaving really well on outings and generally a lovely horse to handle and ride. Plenty more whoa than go but getting the hang of leg aides quite well. He will really suit someone wanting a fuss free genuinely quiet young horse to produce themselves into career of choice. 05.01.2022 RAIN, HAIL or SHINE..// Mother Nature let us have it yesterday I felt like such a meanie while hopping on but they don’t become ‘all weather competitors’ without the ‘drowned rat’ rides chucked in somewhere This cheeky little guy has recently come in off a short spell, building fitness and more education by the day. One of my favourites to have arrived at VPH as a gangly 3yo and see ‘grow up’. Things have finally fallen into place at the right time and it’s looking like h...e can tag along with more established permanent Residents at our OTT creation station Thomas and Phil. I’m actually a little excited about this one, haven’t started again with a youngster in ages! And judging by the saint behaviour in gale forced winds and rain I think he may hit the ground running and pull some marks for relaxation - can only hope! - and look after my old broken self while I’m getting back into the swing of things! Let’s see how fancy we can get this little OTT to become! Can not wait to get back out there and I know 110% I am not alone there

02.01.2022 VPH Sold Update// Going to seriously miss this special little OTT! One of my last ride’s on darling Bart before he heads off to be a first personal horse for one of his new family and a shared vaulting mount in time once he has spent the time training his new discipline. Cannot wait to see the cool things he is set to do in the future Hopefully he also gets to tackle the dressage scene at some point with his young rider, he possesses such a lovely trainable brain and some fabulous movement. I wish I had another 10 of young Bart!
