25.01.2022 Wed heard rumours but great to see a public announcement about it - big thanks to our local pollies for seeking a balanced approach to social distancing & our physical and mental health during this time! Stand Up Paddling & Kayaking is GO! Max of 2 people together unless youre a household. Need a lesson to make sure youre using the right muscles for your paddling? Book a private lesson with us. Thanks Tim Bull MP & Darren Chester MP - we appreciate your work!

24.01.2022 A scenic Heli flight over the Gippsland Lakes is the best view ever, and we Stand Up Paddle (SUP) to/from your flight so you can be immersed in that view. Heli-SUP; the only opportunity for this unique combination of sightseeing transport in Australia is right here in Lakes Entrance!

23.01.2022 Remembering their sacrifice today. Lest We Forget.

23.01.2022 Sometimes were not content to just one activity, plus we needed to get our bikes to the trails somehow...introducing SUP-Biking! Exercise of the week! No bikes were harmed in the making of this video...

23.01.2022 Well be sharing our love of Stand Up Paddleboarding in our little patch of paradise with our friends at Red Paddle Co this afternoon, live! And speaking of paddling, what a beautiful crisp autumn day for it today!

22.01.2022 You know we’re all about the riding & the paddling adventures, but if you need a tasting adventure while you’re in the region, why not book a seat on the bus?! Outsource the driving to these guys...

21.01.2022 Stand Up Paddle the Entrance Tour - this Thursday 9th July, 3pm - 4.30pm. $59 per person. Experience the winter wonder of the Gippsland Lakes. Theres a 90% chance youll stay dry (aside from your feet!) Book your spot.

21.01.2022 During Stage 3 restrictions in East Gippsland, we can exercise with one other person. Pete & I paddled as far as we could up the North Arm of the lake after work today (without hauling gear over logs) and the serenity was magic. So what are you waiting for? Phone a friend, make a time & get out there! #loveeastgippsland #lakesentrance #ventureout

20.01.2022 Happy Fathers Day 2020 to the Dads! A more challenging one to celebrate for many this year with travel restrictions and distancing. Thankful for my Dad - he is definitely to blame for my adventure-streak since childhood. His creative ideas and practical skills have been put to good use over the last almost 6 years as Venture Out has grown. Super blessed! He got the day off my job lists today Looking forward to more adventures together soon!

18.01.2022 We love our Red Paddle Co boards and love seeing paddlers take their furry besties out with them. Weve got some great deals available on our SUP stock, send us a message or come in-store to check them out!

18.01.2022 While August has historically been our time off for a break, this year weve been busy selling & servicing bikes and restricted to our own backyard. Its not all bad tho, especially with trails such as these! Dont ya just love East Gippsland?! * BTW - Lake Tyers is as full as weve ever seen it, surely shes gonna overflow soon!

18.01.2022 Were rolling into June like... As restrictions have eased, we are extending our opening hours back to 10-4 Tuesday - Saturday Distancing & hygiene practices are in place ... Open all Queens Bday long weekend See more

17.01.2022 Happy Birthday Chris! Marking a birthday milestone in Stage 3 restrictions can be tricky but a new bike makes it a whole lot better! Happy riding!

16.01.2022 ‘Tis the season for family adventures in Lakes Entrance! Our Simply Single track tour: a great introduction to mountain biking for the family, just a 7min drive out to the forest trails

16.01.2022 Its Winter school holidays and its been awhile since weve seen so many people enjoying the sun in Lakes Entrance! Typically this is our quiet time of year, but 2020 is far from typical... well be adjusting our operating hours so that we can show our guests a good time: starting tomorrow during Vic School Holidays, instead of being closed Sundays & Mondays, well be open 10am - 2pm. And weve got a new booking platform now LIVE on our website! Weve been keeping our hire gear sanitised between hires so you can feel comfortable about getting out and adventuring! Kids School holiday activities coming soon - stay tuned!

15.01.2022 Endless East Gippsland. Im still exploring trails I havent been down, even after living here permanently for the last 6 years and visiting family here in years before that. This track was a great little exercise/adventure with Dad during Covid restrictions and pretty as a picture around every corner. We are amongst the luckiest locals in the world to be restricted to here. #loveeastgippsland @ Lake Tyers, Victoria, Australia

11.01.2022 Hes smiling underneath that mask - because its new bike day for Kev! Hes been waiting for the stock to come in and now upgraded to the 2021 Rail 9.8 - an extremely cabable E Bike with a Gen 4 Bosch motor & more capacity in the battery. Enjoy that bike Kev!

11.01.2022 Kids in Kayaks - even in winter! Weve had some fun these school holidays! 50% of kids stayed 50% dry in todays sessions, and the other 50% got 100% wet, some by choice... Love paddling a glassy lake anytime of the year! #lakesentrance #loveeastgippsland

10.01.2022 Thanks Jetty Road Retreat for capturing some late afternoon action on the lake today! Today was a day for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding

10.01.2022 We think its pretty essential to keep moving, so our little shop is still open, mostly servicing & selling bikes to keep you all fit while were under COVID19 restrictions. If you need to get out rolling around on two wheels, pop in between 10am - 2pm, Tues - Sat to see whats in-store.

09.01.2022 It was great to see people in town enjoying the long weekend! Weve decided that since the street upgrades are happening this week out the front of the shop, we will be closed: Wednesday all day & Thursday 10-1 so that the guys working out front can make as much mess & noise as they like...(without us minding!) Back open Thursday 1-4, Fri & Sat 10-4.

09.01.2022 One thing that has kept our shop door open & us pretty busy during Covid is bikes! For the last 2 years weve been a Trek Bicycle dealer. To keep up with demand over the next couple of months we will also have some Jamis & Apollo bikes in-store to keep everyone rolling for 2020. These 2 good-lookin bikes were rolling out the door yesterday to some happy new owners! Need a bike before Christmas? Come & chat to us soon! #trekbikes #lakesentrance

09.01.2022 Its the tail end of Autumn and were gliding into a glassy winter! This is Judy - a local paddler who booked a lesson with us to improve her technique. Stand Up Paddleboarding is like therapy for her, and is as close as she can get to the feeling of Island life, as she loves to travel! Dont let the cooler temps stop you from enjoying life on the lake! Find (or shout yourself) a pair of neoprene booties to keep the toes warm and get out on the lake for a good dose of nature. The serenity & gratitude is so good for the soul

08.01.2022 This is our mate Kev. You can often see him riding his Ebike around Lakes Entrance or paddling his Hobie Kayak. So good to see the locals getting out on the water again for exercise, especially on gorgeous autumn days! Looks like the seagulls are getting their step count up as well!

08.01.2022 LOCALS: An update on yesterdays post - Kayaking & Stand Up Paddleboarding has been included in Boating Victorias definition of recreational boating and therefore is not allowed at this time. We wont be hiring out our Kayaks & SUPs until this restriction is lifted. Bikes are still available for hire if you need a lap around the lake to lift your spirits!

07.01.2022 Its the bosses birthday today but were big believers in the birth festival (why limit the festivities to just one day!?) so to find a way to mark the occasion, TODAY & TOMORROW - were offering 10% off all stock of our Scooters & 20% off Scooter Accessories!

05.01.2022 Sunset Kayak Tour - tonight! We’ve got a couple of spots available if you’d like to get out on the lake with us. 6.30pm - 8pm $59 pp in a Single Kayak, $49 pp in a Double Kayak A last minute tour - so book via phone or message.

04.01.2022 Local MTB riders are getting organised: Theres now a mountain bike club for East Gippsland that will be involved in running social rides, skills clinics, races, trail building & maintenance. Were on the committee and are hopeful we can start some social rides as soon as restrictions allow - want to stay in the loop? Like the fb page, and even better: sign up for membership so you can join in the upcoming events and be apart of your local MTB community. Cant wait to see this grow!

04.01.2022 Weve been running some private exercise sessions during Stage 3 restrictions for some local NDIS participants (masks on before & after!). Its such a pleasure to be exercising outdoors, riding bikes, listening to the birds... a friendly Blue Wren liked the look of our tour van & we rode by some beautiful Black Cockatoos on the Gippsland Lakes Discovery Track today. Let us know if youd like to book a session (or series of sessions) for someone you know would love it.

04.01.2022 Do I look gangsta in this?! Dont forget to wear your masks in-store from now on - a new normal while we get on top of this virus. We will update everyone on our business operations as we head back into Stage 3 on Thursday.

03.01.2022 Seems like we only post mask-selfies these days Just arrived: Clear Masks! $29.95 each. Anti-fog, washable, and spectacle friendly. I think Ill be much happier working & talking in one of these...

03.01.2022 Trying to embrace mask-fashion here... As per Stage 3 restrictions, we are still open for business! Shop hours are currently 10-4 Tuesday - Saturday. Please wear your mask in-store & sanitise your hands prior to touching merchandise. If youre local and need to get out for exercise - households can ride or paddle together - or a max of 2 participants together if not from the same household. ... Send us a message if youd like a one on one ride/paddle skills session organised for your daily exercise - we can also arrange gear drop off to make adventure exercise just that little bit easier. #lakesentrance #loveeastgippsland

02.01.2022 Well this is the quietest Easter on record for East Gippsland! Due to todays wintery weather, well be open by appointment only (for all those people who are panic-buying bikes right now!) Easter Saturday & Easter Sunday. Otherwise, its a good day for trackie dacks, dreaming of future adventures & adding them to the bucket list...like this E-Bike ride through the forest to the Brewery for lunch (from last month) Happy Easter everyone

02.01.2022 Happy Christmas 2020, from our crew to yours.

02.01.2022 If you cant get to East Gippsland right now, heres a cute clip of Spring on the Gippsland Lakes here for you: a Cygnet getting a piggy-back on a mummy/daddy Swan - doesnt get much cuter...

01.01.2022 Have you been seeing the #25pushupchallenge getting around on social media? Weve done it recently - giving a plug to PTSD & Suicide Awareness - and last week our friend Atina Baker asked us to join a push-up duet (which soon became a push-up party) Lucky we had 25 days to train for this!

01.01.2022 Love that winter sun! Looking on the bright side of life on todays Stand Up Paddleboard tour. #loveeastgippsland #lakesentrance #redpaddlecoau #suptour #paddlethelakes #gippslandlakes @ Lakes Entrance, Victoria

01.01.2022 Border closures, rising COVID cases...heres a distraction: East Gippsland is awesome & it looks like the locals will have it to themselves awhile longer. But dont worry, itll still be here in all its glory (and adrenaline) when youre all allowed to travel again! Captured on camera: The boss on her day off exploring a section of the Snowy River near Basin Creek Falls.
