24.01.2022 To say we were disappointed that we didn't get to campaign this heifer more this year is an understatement. "Venturon RR Rosebud Lass Q13" - 19 and a half months old. Q13 is an imported embryo from Canada, who we purchased off of Chris and Helen at Dsk Angus Charolais. Sired by Remitall H Rachis 21R and out of LLB ROSEBUD LASS 87W, she offers an outcross pedigree and exemplifies everything we are trying to breed in an Angus female. At her only outing this year in March, she... was sashed Junior Champion British breed female at 11 months of age. We can't wait to see what this female look's like when she calves down. Thanks to Kane Chatfield at the Farm Weekly for the great shot!

23.01.2022 Check out the recent additions to our Charollais sheep program from the Rene Studs inaugural online show and sale. This sire and these ewes will offer new genetics for our growing Charollais program. Lot 20 was the high selling ram and lot 57 the high selling ewe. Looking forward to getting this group home! Thanks to studstocksales.com for getting these exceptional shots of the sheep.

23.01.2022 Well we are a little late to the party, but better late than never right? Thank you to the underbidders and to everyone who expressed interest in our embryo lot and to the Nykoliation family at Tri-N Charolais Farm...s for purchasing them. The embryos made $1900 and we are excited to see what they can do in their program, and can’t wait to see them develop. Stay tuned for some more exciting news... 20.01.2022 Today the new kid on the block, ASCOT KUDOS Q27E was put out with the Spring calving cows. Kudos Q27 was the lead off yearling Charolais bull out of the Ascot Cattle Spring Bull sale. We loved this bull from when we saw his video, and after seeing photos of his dam we knew he’d fit our program perfectly! Sired by Palgrove Kudos, who is breeding so consistently, this bull will complement our herd and offer a neat genetic outcross. Homozygous polled and gold! #brandingthenextgeneration #venturon Thank you to Falls Livestock Transport for getting him here, looking as good as he went on and to Jim and Jackie from Ascot Cattle for all your help with Transport. We can’t wait to see what this guy breeds, especially with the group of cows he’s just gone in with!

04.01.2022 Yesterday we were delighted to host the wedding of Troy Piggot and Bianca Ransome at our property. Bianca has been apart of our show team for the best part of 15 years and it was fitting that we happened to have her favourite Venturon female of all time- Let’s Elope in the front paddock for their special day! Only complaint we had was that Harris hadn’t clipped and washed the mob of females It was an absolutely amazing day- the weather was perfect, the cows all knew where they had to be at the right moment and every body had a great time. We wish you and you’re 3 gorgeous daughters all the best with your future together.

04.01.2022 Genetics are the point of the arrow when it comes to the livestock industry. Although genetics are of equal importance to disciplines such as herd management, n...utrition, animal health, marketing, forages, record keeping and Human Resources, genetics remain the prime mover. As the last link in the value chain, the consumer being the first link, genetics determine how the rest of the value chain flourishes or fails. It is the duty of the seedstock producer to act as a scientist with their ranch or farm being their laboratory. By adapting their genetics to the particular environment, resources and objectives they’re dealing with, the seedstock producer experiments, invents and proves or disproves genetics. PJ Budler 2020

02.01.2022 Who’s looking forward to the weekend? Happy Friday y’all!!

01.01.2022 All the best to the WA College of Agriculture - Cunderdin, who are hosting their open day today. This year we donated semen in Venturon New Design and Mighty Hebert to use in their AI program. Harris attended Cunderdin Ag college for year 11 and 12 and thoroughly enjoyed working within the Cattle section, so we were more than happy to give our bit back. Looking forward to inspecting the calves when they are born next year.
