23.01.2022 It has been a long drawn out process but we have now got the building permit so, Covid-19 restrictions permitting, you might see the start of works to erect the extension some time soon.
17.01.2022 The shed may be closed but things are still ticking along slowly. We still run our community bus so those locals without transport can access services and shopping at Wonthaggi. Also we are progressing slowly with plans for the extension, had to get the planning permit varied and that has come through so now just waiting for the building permit. nothing like a bit of red tape to tie you in knots. Hope things liven up soon because all those jobs in the garden that I've been saving up for my old age are disappearing fast
17.01.2022 Well! It started off a great day catering at Unify. About 3.30 the south-westerly change hit with 70km winds recorded at the nearby weather station. Cover of the marquee couldn't quite stand that and exciting times until we, with the help of security and some of the patrons, got it down and secure on the ground. Then the rain hit 22mm (at least) in 4 hours. We got the marquee back up again and secure but decided that we were in no state to do the 8pm to 2am shift. Most of the other caters survived so we haven't left the patrons starving, if they are a bit hungry we are back again at 6.30 in the morning. A music festival that will stick in our minds for a few years
17.01.2022 Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year. Just go easy on the pudding
09.01.2022 Spent most of today setting up ready for the influx of heavy metal fans at the Unify Gathering at Tarwin Lower. 2000 arrive Thursday from 2pm and another 3000 on Friday. They go home Sunday hungover but well fed (from the Men's Shed marquee we hope) Busy time but usually well worth it
08.01.2022 After a wild windy and wet day yesterday with 12.5 mm of rain, today turned out dry and pleasant for our car show. A good attendance of cars, stalls and viewers. Thanks to the organisers, the car owners and the public who attended.
