22.01.2022 Every year at 11am on the 11th November - Remembrance Day - we pause to remember those men and women who died or suffered in all wars, conflicts and peace operations. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Veolia remembers and honours the memories of all those men and women that served. Lest We Forget. Today, we would like to announce our support for the 2020 launch of the book 'In That Rich Earth'; a project developed by the Anzac Memorial... - NSW's principal war memorial. 'In That Rich Earth' tells the story of the 100 sites of NSW military significance chosen to commemorate and honour Australian service and sacrifice in the Anzac Memorial's Hall of Service. The 100 sites are represented by samples of soil set into plaques in the floor of the Hall.

19.01.2022 We need good news stories at times like these. If you're living in Greater Geelong, CBD laneways might start to look a little different... Veolia Australia and New Zealand are proudly partnering with the City of Greater Geelong to help clean up CBD laneways. A trial has commenced which will allow tenants and business operators to utilise the access-controlled Recycling and General Waste compactors provided by the city.... In what is hoped to be the first of many such installations, the trial aims to remove various wheelie bins by numerous service providers; restoring the unique beauty of the city's laneways. Strategically positioned with bold colours and design, these compactors will also reduce truck congestion in the area, increasing the safety of waste collections as part of Veolia's AlwaysSafe strategy.

10.01.2022 Our New Zealand team, and their contractors, recently completed transporting over 129 Million litres of sludge from the Moa Point Wastewater Treatment plant - the equivalent of 51.6 Olympic Swimming Pools! The sludge had to be transported by tanker to ensure it couldn't make its way into Cook Strait after the existing two sludge pipes unexpectedly burst deep within a tunnel under Mt Albert. The Wellington City Council on behalf of the local community recognised the team for their role in helping divert a potential environmental disaster.

04.01.2022 It’s always great to see a communities benefit and making good use of our precious resources!
04.01.2022 At Veolia, we believe in partnering with our customers to help extend the life of water network assets. Working with Knox City Council, our network services team was recently called upon to assess the condition of a faulty stormwater easement drain, located inside a private property. CCTV inspections uncovered three displacements along the pipe, which needed repair to prevent further water leakage. In response, the team employed a swift and cost-effective rehabilitation meth...od to restore the pipeline with minimal impact on the resident and surrounding vegetation. This solution is just one way we are delivering environmental and community benefits using trenchless pipeline rehabilitation methods.
