08.01.2022 Today is World Bread Day! Bruce Pascoe describes the way Aboriginal people harvested grain, turned it into flour and baked bread a sustainable practice that... is being carried out in communities today. "We don't have to water that crop. It waters itself...instead of us planting a seed and then pouring water on it, to try and replicate Europe, what we're doing is using Australian plants."

06.01.2022 Dear Garden members, In view of this escalating health crisis regarding COVID19 and the wider implications of this, the Executive and Committee have all agreed that it is in the best interests of all garden members that this Sunday's gathering is postponed until further notice. The health of all our members and their families is of the utmost importance at this time. Stay safe everyone

05.01.2022 Did you know that there's a new community garden being built in St Lucia in Lex Ord Park?! We are so excited to have more community gardens opening up in the area, allowing us all to share our knowledge and expertise and our love of permaculture and gardening and growing food! There is going to be a BBQ in the park this Saturday 18 July at 1:00PM to celebrate the initial progress that has been made so far with finalising the plan for the garden and preparing to start th...e construction of the garden itself! This will be a chance to check out the site of the garden, meet committee and community members, and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch (including meat, vego and gluten free options). Members of the Cubberla-Witton Catchments Network will also be there to help with a creek cleanup, which youre welcome to join. Just bring chairs or a picnic blanket, a water bottle, and sun protection - well provide the rest! All welcome - kid-friendly! We hope to see some of our members and other friends at this event on Saturday!
