25.01.2022 Here at TOUCH OF CLASS, we pride ourselves on giving the customer not only what they want, but also what will pass. Sometimes this can cost me a sale. Sometimes I may be a little to upfront with all the extra costs involved. Sometimes this makes me look a little more expensive than other companies who don’t give you all the information. Just the basic cost of 33-38% more to install. But, there is a lot more to a shed than this; Concrete, earthworks, footings, permits and s...ite plans, plus in some cases, much much more. Now I have been an installer for many companies over the last couple of decades and I got real tired of this. The whole 'sell them a shed and let them figure the rest' is not the way to be. So when I opened my shop and my brand, I said 'I won’t be a salesman'. I will sell sheds and verandahs with the total cost and all the information. I have made information packs to make this easy and to explain every step. And today is the perfect example. A company I still install for gave me a reply that makes me remember why I stay small and still involved. This is there response: "Ryan We sell the customer what they ask for. It is up to them to decide what heights they want. We cannot be up to date with the regulations of every State and Council in Australia. If it does not comply and they need to add height to the shed we will have to vary our contract with them." So, above tells me it is always better to stick with local. People who know there stuff. People who care. Not just 'ah well, we will add to their shed and charge them extra.' A shed with a mezzanine floor must have minimum height of 2100 under rafters for storage and 2400 for a space that is used for an office or a space people will use. But they don’t seem to know this or care.

22.01.2022 COVID 19 UPDATE. Touch of class will still be operating. Although we will have some changes to the way our day to day procedures will happen. As of Tomorrow night our doors will not be open to the public. There will be a skeleton staff running the admin side of things continuing to supply you with the quotes and materials you require. Our installers will be finishing any jobs that have already been started but with strict new policies on site. No onsite quotes will be d...one after tomorrow and no further onsite projects will be started. Permits can still be done. Admin will still be able to organise these.
