22.01.2022 I love discovering new foods! This week I came across snowflake mushroom. Expensive but worth trying. Cooked with with some olive oil and salt to really get its simple flavour and had on toast with eggs.

14.01.2022 A new study found that higher vitamin D levels during pregnancy were associated with a higher IQ in children ages 4 to 6 years old after controlling for several other factors related to IQ. This is an observational study so it is difficult to establish causation. However, this study suggests the possibility that higher vitamin D levels among mothers during pregnancy may promote brain development and lead to higher childhood IQ scores. Approximately 70% of the US population has insufficient vitamin D levels which can easily be corrected with a simple vitamin D supplement. While sun exposure can increase vitamin D it depends on geographic latitude, time of year, age, and melanin content in the skin.

12.01.2022 This weekend I reconnected with my roots and what better way to do that than through food. Growing up we used to have this relish during winter time (yup we actually had snow and subzero temperatures) where vegetables access was limited. This is called Zacusca and is one of the easiest thing to do. Can have with as part of any meal or if you have a strange craving like I did today can eat it on toast but maybe skip the anchovies The ingredients You need equal parts of oni...on, tomatoes, red capsicum and eggplant, salt, pepper and bay leaves. Cook the onion first finely chopped then add remaining blitzed ingredients in a food processor and cook for 1.5 h on med/low temperature- dont cover. Add lots of olive oil at the end pending taste. Usually tastes better overnight. Yummy! 12.01.2022 As some might have noticed i have been a little quiet lately... well thats because i have been working hard on creating some helpful content for your guys.... eg some recipe books for breakfast, lunch, dinner to help you lose weight, fix your gut and get that energy back up. All recipes are gluten and dairy free and have gender personalised serving size suggestions... a couple more days and dinner book is ready... keep on eye on this page as i will let you know once all ready... 10.01.2022 This is a great little summary on how to spot and deal with a narcissist. I was actually reflecting on this yesterday (am reading a great book atm) and how todays world is filled with such people with research is showing that the trend is only growing more and more. I often see them in the health space (where i spend a lot of my time). They are the:... -monkeys beating on their chest proclaiming to the world that they have found the answers/solutions to everyones problems -the self proclaimed health gurus -the unauthentic health practitioners that only care about a pay check and not getting you better -the egomaniacs that crumble when challenged and blame you for their failures ... and more... Dont be fooled by pretty exteriors and promises of success. Listen to their words but assess someone by their behaviours ......and trust yourself. Language has been created to distract from our feelings, and in todays world is more important than ever to truly connect to that inner voice and despite external influences/noise listen to it. Has anyone have to deal with a narcissistic? How did you find that experience and deal with that person?
