22.01.2022 VMX Magazine Classic Dirt 16 Update COVID-19 strikes again! We've held out as long as we can, hoping for a glimmer of hope on the horizon that we could proceed... with VMX Magazine Classic Dirt 16 in October. Regrettably, on this occasion the virus has come out the victor. We just can't in good conscience allow hundreds of people to camp out and congregate at the event. The possibility of someone bringing and spreading the virus is just a chance we don't want to take, as we want everyone attending the event to socialise and congregate to their heart's content and that just wouldn't be possible under the current restrictions. As well, the travel restrictions and 'hard' border closures would severely impact the attendance of most of our interstate and overseas guests and that's also something we don't want to happen - we want to welcome everyone, from far and wide! For example, we would really like to have the borders open so our special guest, master restorer Joe Abbate, can attend the event from the USA. So we're sadly making the call to postpone the event until 2021. That will give us even more time to prepare the magnificent new venue and we know you will all have the time of your lives there next year. We have already laid out the motocross tracks and the vinduro loops and they are first class - natural terrain at its best. In 2021, you will still be the first riders to use these marvellous new tracks! Due to these unprecedented times we’d rather not wait for our traditional June long weekend dates in 2021 because we want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend and enjoy another special VMX Magazine Classic Dirt event as soon as we can make it happen. We have started from scratch in choosing a new date just for next year, so in anticipation of open borders and no more travel restrictions our plans are to welcome everyone to CD16 over the Easter break in 2021. So get ready to attend the original and best vintage and classic recreational dirt bike long weekend on 2-4 April 2021!! We would like to acknowledge all our associates and look forward to them joining with us again in 2021 Three Pines MX Park property owner John Boyd, Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation, BTW Communications, Engineered Environments, Harley and Co, Holden on Tight, HVA-Factory, Kyogle Motorcycles, Kyogle Tyres and More, Link International, Polaris Off Road, Polisport, Preston Petty Products, Shannons Insurance, Surfside Motorcycles, Troops Legend Apparel and Yamalube, Many thanks to the great team of helpers who have been on site and on board with the prep work, including Cam, Chris, Darren, John, Mark, Rob, Steve and Wayne. We will carry entries forward until next year or if you require a refund, or want further info, contact Ken on 0432625503 or by email [email protected]

22.01.2022 VERi ANNOUNCES 2021 EVENT CALENDAR Well 2020 was a bust, so the club is now looking forward to getting back on track in 2021. The committee has been working hard and has come up with the following calendar of events: March 28: Wandong Vinduro... May 6 - 9: A3VE at Blackwood June 27: Won Wron Vinduro July 30 - August 1: Harrow Vinduro August 29: Beaufort Vinduro September 19: Ross Creek Vinduro There's an equal mix of old favourites and exciting new events to look forward to, and we can't wait to get out there. Obviously we hope that the above dates and venues will not have to change. Stay safe in the meantime.

19.01.2022 Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, and with no major changes to restrictions in sight, VERi has to face reality and announce that we will not be running any events in 2020. We look forward to coming back on full noise in 2021 with the awesome vintage enduro events we are known for, including the second edition of the Australian 3 Day Vintage Enduro. In the meantime, stay safe and healthy (both mentally and physically), and let's keep talking about the things we love.

18.01.2022 Don't forget that VERi membership renewals are due by the end of June (which is about a fortnight away). If you have a vehicle on CPS through VERi, you must be a paid-up member for that permit to be valid. Please contact the VERi Treasurer if you have any concerns or queries related to membership fees.

17.01.2022 With the planned 2020 Australian National Classic Motocross Championships just under 2 months away, despite any lifting of Covid-19 restrictions it is no longer... practical to conduct this event over the planned July dates. The Heaven VMX Committee, the CMX Commission and MA are working tirelessly behind the scenes to see if the event can be re-scheduled later in 2020 on a date that works in with, for obvious reasons, a calendar that has developed to be extremely crowded. As soon as a final decision is made, we will advise immediately. Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times. Heaven VMX

17.01.2022 It is with great disappointment we announce that for 2020, the Heaven VMX Club will not be running the 2020 Australian National Classic Motocross Nationals. To ...say the COVID-19 pandemic has brought chaos to our lives is an understatement, and unfortunately this event for this year is a casualty of the virus. This is a prestigious event, a true National event, and deserves to be conducted as one. With the recent news and the uncertainty that brings for our Victorian family members, delays from border shutdowns meaning we have missed the window for our Western Australian family members to be able to organize the trip for this year, and the potential travel difficulties members of all other states might face, we feel the event would not be a true National, and in these extreme circumstances running it would not do the event justice. This was a very difficult decision for us to make, and behind the scenes the Heaven VMX committee and the MA Classic Motocross commission have been working feverishly looking at every possible alternative to try to save the Nationals for this year, but in the end we feel the uncertainty of current climate was too great, and when the Nationals go ahead, the event must be given every chance of success with all racers from around the country given the opportunity to attend. Hopefully by 2021 we will be through the worst of these tough times. A special thanks goes to Mick Hughes and Colin Metcher for the huge amount of time and effort they have put in for us. These gentlemen unselfishly do a vast amount of volunteer work on behalf of our sport that is very much appreciated by us and it is such a shame that for this event that time has been wasted

16.01.2022 Who’s keen for a ride? We are! So, it appears that COVID-19 restrictions may be relaxed enough in the near future that we can think about running events again. Depending on what happens in the next month or so, we are looking at running up to three events: Wandong (TBA), Beaufort (September) and Harrow (October). Please note that these locations and dates are only proposed and not confirmed at this time.... Bear in mind that we may have to make changes to the way events have been run in the past, especially regarding the number of entrants and camping arrangements. We are working with relevant agencies and land-owners, and following government announcements closely. Hopefully, we will have some good news to announce soon. When we know more details, we will publish them here and on our website.

15.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

11.01.2022 ADB BIG BORE CLASSIC CANCELLED FOR 2020 The ADB Australian Big Bore Classic has been cancelled for 2020 with eyes set on 2021 start It is with a heavy heart and... deep disappointment that the inaugural ADB Big Bore Classic has been cancelled. The unpredictable nature of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the race organizers to shelve the event due to seasonal race conditions fast coming to an end. With the State of Victoria still in lockdown and borders closed, there is no indicator that restrictions will lift before the drier and warmer months are upon us. With this in mind, all rider entries will be refunded and plans for the race meeting put on ice until 2021. The initial response following the race announcement from the industry, riders and spectators leaves no doubt that this event carries huge possibilities. The concept of a fun day of racing on big bore bikes really hit a nerve and as soon as Australia reaches some stability, the Big Bore Classic will be scheduled on a suitable date. Refunds for all entries will commence shortly.

11.01.2022 Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation we are unable to commit to running any events in 2020. VERi continues to follow government announcements closely, and if the situation changes we will publish details here, and on our website. Please note that the second edition of the Australian 3 Day Vintage Enduro (A3VE) will take place from 6-9 May 2021.

07.01.2022 Please note that the VERi website is currently down due to a technical issue. We are working to get it back up ASAP.

06.01.2022 VERi club membership is due by 30 June 2020, and can be paid directly into the VERi bank account. You will find the account number and the membership form if you need it, on the VERi website .... When depositing into the account please put your name, and member number (if you know it). The yearly membership fee is $50. Please note that if you have a vehicle on the VicRoads classic permit scheme, your membership needs to be current for the permit to be valid. New members always welcome too! Any queries should be emailed to [email protected]

06.01.2022 To all our members and guests We have been following the state and federal government announcements closely over the last few weeks and been trying to fit our e...vents into their guidelines. In light of the most recent announcements and the shutdown on non essential activity in Victoria, we belive it would be irresponsible to proceed with our Wandong event this weekend. While we can accommodate the social isolation rules, it would not be a good idea to proceed when other Australians are doing their part to slow the spread of the virus. The closure of State borders is another factor we have to consider. We will be giving out full refunds for those that have already entered. If you have already paid please send an email with your bank details to our treasurer [email protected] Please remember she is a volunteer and will get to these when she can. Stay tuned for announcements about other VERi events. Unanimously disappointed The VERi committee

05.01.2022 Our planned calendar for 2020 has been thrown into disarray due to COVID-19 social restrictions. However we are hoping to produce a new calendar for 2020 as soon as social restrictions are lifted enough to allow. We have a few events that could still be run this year, and we will announce the events and dates as soon as we can confirm them.

04.01.2022 VMX Magazine Classic Dirt 16 News VMX Magazine Classic Dirt 16, set down for the June long weekend, has been postponed along with every other event that was sch...eduled for the coming few months. We can announce that we have a tentative replacement date of 16-18 October. That date was chosen as there are currently no other similar vintage events on that weekend, thus avoiding any date clashes. This date change has been brought about because of the coronavirus and directives from MA. Next year’s event will still be held on our traditional date of the June long weekend. As any new information comes to hand we will let you know. We do apologise for any inconvenience but as we’re sure you are well aware, there’s so much in the current state of affairs that is completely out of our hands. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at (the rescheduled) VMX Magazine Classic Dirt 16, the original and best vintage and classic recreational dirt bike bike event! If you require any additional information, please contact Ken at [email protected] Thanks, the VMX Magazine Team

03.01.2022 A3VE POSTPONED UNTIL 2021 The COVID-19 virus has caused major disruptions in our lives and it has become apparent that our original Australian 3 Day Vintage Enduro (A3VE) date this year is not viable. VERi has now bowed to the inevitable and cancelled the A3VE until 6-9 May 2021 (TBC)*. Despite the possibility of squeezing into the motorsport calendar in October this year and clearing a week in the Blackwood Caravan Park schedule, we came across the stumbling block of DELWP/P...arks Victoria scheduled track closures until November (a time of heat and bushfire danger). Also, the fact that farmers will be preparing paddocks for crops made the scheduling this year unworkable. The positive vibe this event has created drove us all to seek the best outcome, and we realised we wouldn’t be able to do the event justice in these circumstances. We are hoping that all entrants will carry over their entry and accommodation bookings into 2021. On a positive note, the new date gives us time to ‘polish’ the course and provide the best possible riding experience on an old enduro bike. The Blackwood township regrets the cancellation, but we are secure in the knowledge that we will come back bigger and better. Please look out for each other and stay safe in these challenging times. Regards, The VERi Committee. * Please note: This date has changed to avoid clash with A4DE in May 2021.

03.01.2022 The new COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria mean that we will not have any events for the next six weeks, and after that we can only hope for the best. Keep checking here and our website for updates.

02.01.2022 After much deliberation, we are very disappointed to announce that in this current COVID-19 affected environment, we feel the only right decision to make is to ...give up on 2020, and further postpone the OzVMX Resto Expo until 12, 13 & 14 March 2021. Yes, it is frustrating, but with the recent second wave of infections still increasing and causing further tightening of restrictions across NSW, to continue to plan running such a public event that relies upon spectators to make it the special show it is, would not be in keeping with what our community requires of us at the moment. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We will get out there and when we do what a party it will be. The OzVMX Team See more
