23.01.2022 Yay for coffee! Yay for Simple italian Cafe in Perth on 413 Murray Street, Perth! Veritas staff are back in the office (staged approach) and weve decided to support our neighboring local businesses en masse. Each week were selecting a different cafe to buy all our coffees from. Our only criteria...it has to be good coffee!

23.01.2022 A team effort with the help of Caridon Group for Veritas to achieve ISO 9001:2015 certification for our ASIC and MSIC management systems. Its only a matter of time until certifications such as this, ISO27001 and full and independent verification of adherence to standards such as the Australian Signals Directorates Essential 8 Mitigation Strategies (weve also just achieved Level 3) become mandatory for organisations that want to electronically connect to government. At Veritas Group, we believe that focussing on Quality is an essential part of our business that will help to keep us at the forefront of industry.

23.01.2022 From 18 December 2019 Veritas will serve as the ASIC issuing body for Darwin International Airport and Alice Springs Airport. Were looking forward to working with the companies and staff working on these airports in the Northern Territory. There are five Australia Post outlets where you can lodge your applications in-person in the NT: Casuarina, Palmerston, Darwin GPO, Alice Springs GPO and Katherine. We made the trek to 4 out of 5 of them. The postal managers at each outlet look forward to serving our applicants.

These hampers assist some of the 75K people in our state who will go without a meal on Christmas day. The need to think differently and to innovate is ever present. During the WFH period, our software engineers worked to automate the ASIC verification process in real time with AerVision’s AerAccess System. This new partnership represents not only a touchless solution for air crew at airports but increased security compliance and most importantly, cost savings potential!

Taking advantage of the opening of the Western Australian border and flying over to Sydney this week to support the onboarding of staff of a new client might in hindsight not have been a good call! With 2 of 3 staff now facing Christmas and NYE in self-isolation (one made it back just in time) the company is appreciative and indebted to the commitment of its staff.

06.01.2022 This week it was a privilege for Veritas to support the federal governments request to assist in expediting the aero firefighter pilots and maintenance crew members obtain their security clearances (ASIC cards) in record time (hours not weeks!). In the coming days these aircraft and crew will arrive Down Under to be deployed around the country in support of fighting our bushfires. Our thanks go out to our American friends.

Asset College is the first (and only) Registered Training Organisation authorised by the Department of Home Affairs to offer training for a Cert 2 in Transport Security Protection. From 1 Feb 2020, all screening officers will require this qualification and will also be required to display a valid ASIC while on duty. Together, Veritas and Asset College will ensure those working in the industry have the necessary qualifications to be job ready.
