25.01.2022 Good news, we have been give the go ahead to open the club up tonight and serve meals and drinks. We are under the rule of a maximum 40 people seated inside and 70 seated outside. Please work with us to ensure we are within the guidelines that have been handed to us.... Dinner will be available after training before the team selections. Bar will be open from 5.30pm.

23.01.2022 We are excited to announce that Dimitri Mascarenhas will be re-joining the Vermont Cricket Club for the upcoming 2020/2021 season. Mascarenhas is no stranger to the Vermont Cricket Club, playing with us in the 2016/17 season, including making an appearance in the Ray Mcintosh Shield Grand Final. Dim will also add an immense amount of experience to the side this season, having played 20 ODIs and 14 T20 international games for England, as well as playing in the Indian Premier L...eague and also the Big Bash League. He is also an ECB level-three qualified coach and held player-coach roles with Hampshire, Rajasthan Royals and Hobart Hurricanes, along with being appointed as New Zealand’s full-time bowling coach. More recently, Dim was appointed by Middlesex as their specialist head bowling coach for the 2019 and 2020 Vitality T20 Blast competitions. Mascarenhas’ all round ability will also help the squad, hitting 169 at an average of 24.14 and taking 13 wickets at an average of 22.46 in his 2016/17 season with club. Vermont Cricket Club is excited by this announcement as we know how much of mentor a Dim will be to the younger players at the club, as well as an asset on the playing field. Welcome back Dim!

22.01.2022 We hope all our players, members and supporters at Vermont Cricket Club are keeping safe & well as we deal with everything thats going on. With the Lockdown stages currently in place, its obviously been difficult to get the playing group together to start planning the Season 2020/21, and at this stage we dont have any update on when the season could start. However it is time we all start connecting and getting the hype going as much as we can. We will be holding a virtual ...meeting via Zoom catch up this Saturday 15th August from 4pm where all players, members & supporters are welcome to jump on. This will be a great opportunity to meet and hear from our new coach Nick Stoikos, get an update with whats been happening behind the scenes and also catch up with our fellow team mates and supporters. Keep an eye out on the VCC Team App for the Zoom login and password details to get in to the meeting. 16.01.2022 With recruiting well underway, we can announce that Callum Reid has confirmed his return to Vermont Cricket Club for Season 2020/21 and beyond. Whilst this announcement is probably no big surprise to many, the club is very excited to have Cal back after spending last season at Ringwood in the Victorian Premier Cricket competition, which has been a great learning experience for him and gaining further development that he will bring to Vermont. Welcome back Cal, although youve always been around the club its great to officially have you back on the field with VCC.

02.01.2022 After months of requests & discussions with the council, we have been able to secure a brand new pitch surface at Vermont Reserve. The new synthetic surface is much improved quality than what the previous surface was being thicker and more durable. Added to this, many of you may have noticed some works on the grass area with new turf being laid in the worn out areas, so with a season of no footy and time for the ground to repair itself, we’ll have a nice & pristine ground at Vermont. The new surface is being laid today and will be ready for full use as of next week when hopefully we will be able to commence training

There will be a BBQ & money tins at the ground with all proceeds being donated, as well as $1 from every beer sold. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected by the bushfires.
