19.01.2022 Lip balms today! Three varieties - Vanilla, Strawberry, and Watermelon. The watermelon has gone slightly more orange than pink - I may need to rename the watermelon mica to "morphs in everything, not just soap". But it feels amazing and smells delicious and that's all we really want. ... A bunch of these will be heading off to @merchant.hobart very soon - I'm just packaging up the last of their soap so they have a full restock of products. 16.01.2022 A new look for Pink Lemonade Fizz, but the same amazing smell. I cut these last week and they hung around on my work table for almost a week because I had no curing space. But now one of my big orders is packed up and ready to deliver, so we finally have space! 13.01.2022 A few of you were wondering about the colouring of the patchouli orange soap with egg. It goes from a bright yellow to this smooth brown colour. The egg doesn't leave any scent in the soap, but the proteins add to the bubbles. 12.01.2022 Packing up all of the sheep milk soap ready for delivery next week. The lemon myrtle bars just looked so glorious in the sunshine that I couldn't help but snap a photo. All told I made 800 bars of soap, in four different scents. They'll be available from @grandvewecheeses in time for Christmas! This order was a lot of fun. 09.01.2022 Vegan Raspberry Lemonade Soap, made with Tassie beer, and cocoa butter. This soap was so beautiful to make. It behaved so beautifully, which was nice because I knocked over one of my jugs filled with colourant mixed into water. So I'm there, frantically trying to clean up mica and water all over my work bench, just as I've finished stick blending the lye solution into the oils. I would have been in serious trouble if this one had been badly behaved but thank goodness it all... worked out. I cleaned the mica up, got colours mixed into jugs, and the soap poured, and thank goodness. 06.01.2022 Finally available! I have a limited selection of novelty soaps. These will be sold as a LUCKY DIP, first come first served. Currently I have 6 varieties, of varying quantities, and styles. We have robots, owls, penguins, and dinosaurs at this stage.... Novelty soaps are adorable, but fiddly and a lot of work to make, hence the limited supply. 05.01.2022 Packaging packaging! I spent the day packing soap and thus! pretty much all of our soaps are now available online. http://veronicafoaleessentials.com.au/shop/... Only two more soaps to come off the curing shelves, but everything else is DONE. This will be our last big restock for a while - we're in the process of putting up walls and insulation and adding windows to the studio, which will mean a lot of chaos and not much space for making for a time. It's super exciting though and I cannot wait for more windows and internal walls.

02.01.2022 Vegan Raspberry Lemonade Soap, made with Tasmanian beer. This smells AMAZING. It's been a few years since I had this soap available - I originally made it for @monamuseum's market, which I miss dearly, but everyone loved it and I loved making it. Beer soaps are a revelation, they're creamy and bubbly and don't even smell a tiny bit like beer, which is the point - no one wants to smell like beer really. But the sugars in beer make for AMAZING soap and I love working with it.... I'm trying to increase my vegan range, just a little. Ideally I'd like to end up with four regular vegan soaps - this one, our Lemongrass Lime with oat milk, the orange clove and mineral mud which has been on my to-make list for months, and one other. Suggestions are welcome. Vegan soaps are a little more work because I double wash all of my equipment before starting, and make sure we don't end up with any cross contamination during cutting and curing - the same way I work when I'm creating something custom to work around allergies. Common sense really. Today though, is not a soapmaking day. Today I will make more bath salts, and possibly package more soap, depending on how needy my kids end up being. Probably I'll just put them to work packaging guest soaps alongside me.
