25.01.2022 A set of custom set of 60s pickups that are now installed in a customers MIM Strat. These have a left hand stagger, plain enamel wire, AlNiCo V magnets, overwound neck+middle and my FAT bridge pickup for some midrange tele punch.

24.01.2022 100 watt? I think not...A rare 1983 JCM800 Bass Series 1992 in for a service. These Differ greatly from the JMP 1992 from the 70s with a different preamp for clean head room and tone stack intended for bass use. This came in fitted with 6550 valves but biased way out of spec. Once serviced it was putting out 94w (volume at 5) clean and whopping 180w peak!... The bottom end in this amp was astounding and with a boost or overdrive in front and guitar it was shaking the walls of the workshop with the volume at 2. With bass, the sub tones were amazing and the EQ is incredibly versatile. Good find Jacob Johnson

17.01.2022 The Magma Bass. 120w Clean Output, 200w Peak delivered by 4 x EL34 Output Valves and 3 x Ecc83 Preamp Valves. Custom Baxandall EQ, Defeatable Master Volume allowing low volume overdrive. This amp was designed as a guitar and bass amplifier. Taking inspiration from the big iron amps from the late 60’s and 70’s. This is not a clone, just what I have developed over the past 3-4 years of prototyping; taking certain aspects from vintage amps I have worked and built on them to pro...vide extended frequency response. High head room and a smooth, vintage overdrive that works through both bass and guitar speakers. Featured here with a 1x15 ported cabinet. Fitted with an Eminence CA154.

15.01.2022 K.Yairi W-1 in for a total overhaul. Neck reset, re-fret, bone nut and saddle. Great sounding guitar, but it was loosing a lot of volume due to high action and poor saddle height when it came in. Featuring 25.4 (645mm) scale length.

They sound beautiful when played clean and mesh perfectly with overdrive and heavy fuzz. I’m also loving the brass nut that was just installed too. The Lord Player really comes alive with these two upgrades

09.01.2022 1980 Maton CW80/12 neck reset, before and after shots. This came in with a split heel joint and high action. The heel joint was repaired, heel block repositioned, neck reset, heel resprayed in satin Nitro and setup with a custom bone saddle. This belonged to a customers father and had been out of action for sometime. ... Im always honoured to work on guitars that mean a lot to people and get them back playing and making music again. This sounded superb when finished. See more

08.01.2022 A set of my Classic Humbuckers for @sonny_james_musician Capturing the sound of classic 50s humbuckers. Plain Enamel wire, mismatched coils, A5 Magnets. This set was slightly over wound to give them a little more growl.

03.01.2022 50s Tele pickup, custom wound for a customer to go in their Esquire build.

03.01.2022 One from a few weeks back. This Fernandes BX-55 (or BX-60) came in missing a lot. Someone had previously tried to fit a floating bridge with a chisel, hammer and putty. I routed it to fit an Aria Pro II (Gotoh made) Floyd Rose, swapped out the hardware for more Gotoh parts, fitted some Dimarzio PAF Pros and new controls. This is short scale beastie was pretty damn fun to play.
