So her activity levels across the week have significantly increased. She also has a few tricky organisational factors to navigate; night time training sessions, travel and early morning starts on game days. SO WHAT DO WE LOOK AT FOR JESS..? 1. Check of BASELINE NUTRITION (generally across the week) to make sure Jess is eating enough to perform at her best and recover optimally. 2. 04.01.2022 The inevitable AGEING. Ageing brings along many physiological changes to the human body. Unfortunately, aside from increased maturity and growing wiser our SKEL...ETAL SYSTEM is effected in a not so positive way, and yes ladies we cop the brunt of this. Our adolescent years are our PRIME time for building a STRONG FOUNDATION of Bone Mineral Density (BMD). As ladies we experience a gradual decline in BMD from our mid 20s onward. Of course, as we arrive at the next change of life (Menopause) this gradual declining process faces a significant drop due to the hormonal physiological changes that take place. Exercise is Medicine. Various Exercise interventions offer immense benefits in the prevention and management of various health conditions, including BMD. Regular Strength training offers immense benefits and is a highly effective tool in the prevention and management of BMD. Ladies, yet again this is another vital justification as to why regular STRENGTH TRAINING should be a part of your weekly exercise regime.
