25.01.2022 Panning for gold, a horse and carriage ride and toffee apples topped our day at Sovereign Hill in Ballarat. If you're in regional Vic at moment, it's the perfect opportunity to visit with reduced visitors numbers.

24.01.2022 Great spot for a family winery lunch at Fowles Wine

24.01.2022 We now have a group! Head to https://www.facebook.com/groups/3181324625283373 to join our Travelling Australia with Pets community and feel free to invite your friends. Whether you're travelling with a dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, reptile or bird, we'd love to share experiences and hot tips in a supportive and like-minded space.

23.01.2022 Are you and your pets prepared for the post-quarantine blues? Check out our latest blog post for tips https://www.vetinavan.com.au//how-to-prepare-your-dog-for/

21.01.2022 Did you know that most of our fur babies suffer from arthritis as they get older, no matter how big or small they are?! Dr Tania loves being able to provide a bit of extra help for those creaky joints to keep your pets comfortable. This is the beautiful Bella, a mare estimated to be in her mid to late 20s, and now retired but with plenty of love still to give. We're privileged to be able to help her

18.01.2022 The cutest, tamest trio of alpacas just wandering around Lake Eppalock Holiday Park. They have a little petting farm, playground, jumping pillow and beach volleyball for the kids. Plus a heated pool. No dogs allowed. Overall, a lovely spot to stay and very quiet in the unpowered section although the powered sites were packed.

18.01.2022 Changed our mind about heading further north to Menindee and Broken Hill given the next few days are meant to be mid-40s So, we're heading back southwest to Lake Victoria / Rufus River to be near the water. Our batteries are holding up pretty well with running the air-conditioning in the evenings to get to sleep. We've also worked out that cooking dinner outside greatly reduces how much the van heats up. Swimming is still our ultimate way to stay cool. We'd love to hear other traveller's tips on handling extreme heat?!

17.01.2022 Such a fun day yesterday, meeting Bella the mare, learning to groom and saddle her and enjoying a ride around the paddock. Apparently, Mum and Dad need to buy a horse now...

16.01.2022 Our website is up and running! www.vetinavan.com.au All feedback is welcome.... Can't wait to get on the road soon!

15.01.2022 Had to pull out the old Hot Cross Buns on the Pink Piano

13.01.2022 Exploring the Eaglehawk Playspace, themed upon the classic book Mulga Bill's Bicycle by Bango Paterson, and 1km lake walk in Bendigo. Quite possibly the best playspace for all ages that we've been to! We found and re-hid this painted rock

13.01.2022 About halfway between Wentworth and Pooncarie there's "Bras, Boots and a Pink Piano" on the side of the road. Worth stopping for a look, a laugh and stretching the legs. It's a classic example of Aussie silly humour. Surprisingly, one piano still partly works (although horrifically out of tune!).

09.01.2022 Mirrors don't lie, they simply show a point of view. It's been a hard slog but, as Victoria's COVID restrictions start to ease, we can confirm that no services offered by Veterinarians are currently restricted. If you have delayed or postponed any veterinary treatments, vaccinations or check ups for your pets it is now recommended that they are reassessed. Our priority is animal welfare and preventative veterinary care plays a huge role in keeping our pets healthy and happy.

09.01.2022 Our adventures at Lake Eppalock Holiday Park and around Bendigo last weekend https://youtu.be/S2PoTfajXxs

08.01.2022 Lovely spot amongst the trees listening to the birds

08.01.2022 Exploring the Historic Trestle Bridge in Pyalong last weekend. We managed some awesome drone footage so check out the Vet in a Van YouTube channel for more: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbPg6TruKH-K2IJlxtBAkLw

06.01.2022 Heathcote, Victoria. Gotta love a country town in wine country filled with historic buildings where everything is walking distance from the child and dog friendly caravan park. A play at the Heathcote Play Space and a socially distanced dinner at Palling Bros Brewery topped it off.

04.01.2022 Lake Victoria, NSW. So much Aboriginal and pioneer history, some good and some bad. But, even in 43C with a gusty hot northerly wind, picturesque as a postcard. The water gushes from the outlet into Rufus River where hundreds of waterbirds gather to fish.... The cold water then joins the warm Murray River near Lock 7 and continues it's journey.
