23.01.2022 Who’s dog loves going to the beach?? There is nothing better than jumping into the waves on a hot day!

23.01.2022 Have a great week end everyone!

23.01.2022 Hi Everyone, We would like to introduce Dr Amy Neale, and Dr Michelle Hamilton to our team! Dr Jenn is 39 weeks at the end of this week so is well and truly due to go on her maternity leave! ... We have teamed up with Peak Crossing Vet to offer our clients additional surgical and diagnostic services to our valuable clients. We will continue to service Ipswich and surrounds and Dr Amy and Dr Michelle look forward to meeting you and your pets! Watch this space for further updates on our services

21.01.2022 Dear clients, Please read the following to ensure our safety during these difficult times so we can continue to help your furry family members: Current protocols for HOME VISIT consultations:... 1. Please notify us when booking whether you have recently travelled internationally, or had any contact with a positive COVID-19 case, or are showing flu/cold-like symptoms 2. Please allow only ONE OWNER / ANIMAL at one time to be present at your home consult, unless further assistance is required. 3. Vets will conduct home consults with ONE owner and preferably outside of the house, in the van. If this is not possible (I.e cats/birds), the consult can take place inside but social distancing rules will apply. Our vets may wear PPE for consults inside your home, so don’t be alarmed! Please be aware that this protocol will be updated in accordance with the latest LOCAL guidelines. Thank you all for supporting local business and your continued cooperation is appreciated :)

21.01.2022 Announcement - Please rest assured - We (still) COME TO YOU! "Convenient for you and your pet", and now more than ever ! ... Vets are an essential service and we want to keep providing you with the best at home vet care possible, whilst keeping our community safe Even though we already provide one of the safest ways for both you and your pets to see a vet, we are pleased to introduce TWO innovative types of consults: VIDEO CONSULTS These will allow us to assess and triage your pet from your home * Please note: if we decide your pet requires a face to face consult or treatment, we will come out to you at a reduced fee. PET-ONLY CONSULTS This means we will receive your pet (on a lead) and bring them to our van for a consult. We can then talk to you from a distance, or on the phone, and discuss your pets needs We hope these new measures will help to reduce the spread of this virus, whilst allowing people to get their pet seen to, one-on-one, in a safer environment. Kindly note, our vets also need to be kept safe and healthy. If you are unwell, or showing any flu-like symptoms, have recently returned from overseas in the past 14 days, PLEASE LET US KNOW. Thank you so much for your help everyone, be safe, stay healthy and keep positive xx

12.01.2022 LET’S TALK STORM PHOBIAS While we are all thrilled to finally be receiving some much-needed rain, unfortunately some of our pets think otherwise. Storms, for some pets, can be an extremely stressful event. It is not uncommon for pets to injure themselves or run away when there is storm activity occurring. Here are our tips and tricks on how to keep your pet/s comfortable and safe during storms: - Creating a safe environment/area for your pet/s to seek comfort before and dur...ing the storm. This may be in your laundry/bathroom or in a crate, if they are crate trained. You can place their bedding, blankets, toys, food and water in their areas. Close the windows and shut the curtains to assist reducing sound and visualisation of the storm - If your pet has a vest or jacket, place this on them prior to the storm beginning. Having compression on the body assists in reducing anxiety. (There are vests and jackets specific to storm phobias e.g. Thundershirts) - Comfort your pet/s by giving them positive praise during the storm. Do not raise your voice or make bold, sudden movements. Talk to your pet/s calmly and softly and provide them with your full attention - Distract your pet/s by offering them treats, playing with their favourite toys, playing soft music or turning the TV on to drown out the noise - If your dog usually lives outside, make an exception and let them indoors while the storm passes. When left outside, they are likely to injure themselves trying to hide, get inside to you or potentially run away. We hope that you find these tips helpful and if you’re still having trouble calming your pet during storms, please give us call to discuss these issues further, after all, their health, safety and happiness is our main priority.
