11.01.2022 AMAZING "VET DAY" AT SOH We are so very fortunate to have had 4 skilled doctors in attendance at our little vet hospital this past weekend. Knowledge and exper...iences were shared as each worked together on the several surgeries performed throughout the day on various wildlife patients. We are so thankful for the interest and generous donation of time & skill from these wonderful medical professionals. Please applaud each and provide encouragement for their continued efforts as our wildlife around the world is in great need. Dr. Travis Strong, Dr. Travis Strong, DVM MS Veterinarian Eye Specialist & Surgeon. 05.01.2022 Hope everyone has a safe and happy Easter. Remember to keep your chocolate away from your furry friends!! Chocolate is toxic because it contains a chemical called theobromine. Dogs cannot metabolise theobromine, which makes them more sensitive to the chemical’s effects.... Symptoms include: Vomiting, diarrhoea, increased body temperature, increased reflex responses, muscle rigidity, rapid breathing, increased heart rate, low blood pressure and seizures. Advanced signs include: cardiac failure, weakness, and coma.

05.01.2022 WE WILL BE RIGHT BACK! To all of our awesome clients and friends, Dr Glen will be unavailable for consults for a short while. Nurses Jodie, Kate and Hannah are available for a chat and routine visits under Dr Glen’s guidance, so feel free to give us a call. Our services will completely reopen soon; date to be advised. ... During this time, should you need a vet specifically, please reach out to one of our colleagues in the region.
