09.01.2022 Hey everyone I’m going to be taking a much needed break from social media this weekend, I know a lot of people are out there feeling deeply about what is happening right now and I am no different. There has been 10 suicides in 3 weeks I am aware of, widespread media coverage of our SASR brothers raising people’s emotions, Remembrance Day feels and everything in between. In the end it doesn’t matter the reason, I just don’t feel I can maintain my own well-being and stay grou...nded seeing it all the time. To be honest the only reason I’m on social media so much is for you guys, but you know I love you all and #youarenotalone There are a number of resources out there that can help so please reach out before you are on the edge!! Start the conversation now and get familiar and comfortable with who you reach out to so it makes it easier when you fall in the hole to make the call I have spoken to the amazing people at Overwatch Australia personally and told them I need to take a break, but I’m worried I’ll miss someone who may reach out while I’m offline I know I’m not the only veteran feeling it right now so I want you to know they have got your six so PLEASE reach out if you need to I’m completely safe and I’m going to go hang out with another veteran and close friend, spin some yarns and chill out.....I highly recommend this to anyone feeling the same #buddycheck #selfcare #makethecall #gottoursix #youreworthit #itaintweaktospeak #ruok
