24.01.2022 This is perfect! Nothing more to say...

23.01.2022 Remember during November. As we honour those who fell for our Nation this month, let us not forget those veterans who are struggling with post-service lives. Lest we forget.

23.01.2022 VIETNAM VETERANS DENIED RECOGNITION An opinion piece by David Brown, Vietnam veteran and writer. A small group of Vietnam War veteran specialist officers and NCOs are being denied an award for their service that is being freely handed out to their modern counterparts who served in Iraq or Afghanistan....Continue reading

23.01.2022 RIP mate. Lest we forget.

22.01.2022 At this point in time the allegations are not proven. While reports can be damning, judicial inquiries are far more thorough and incorporate rules of evidence, exclude hear-se and provide for analysis of facts that are then applied to the elements of offences. To blame an entire unit for allegations of wrongdoing by a few, does not provide a proportionate response to the whole situation. MUCs are issued for specific situations where a unit has acted as one to achieve a missi...on worthy of honour and award, mere speculation over allegations is not enough to have such a discussion. These citations are not bargaining chips to be recalled in the future and if they are I see some senior officers handing back a whole lot of gongs... Jay Devereux Founder | CEO

21.01.2022 The 23rd of November has just passed. For some it’s just another day. Unfortunately for others it is not. I was there on the ground that day when one of our finest, Luke Worsley from 4 RAR Commando, was knocked. We were out in the middle of the Afghanistan Dasht and a long way from Australia. This story from within the SF community needs to be told to the Australian public but most of all the parents, wives, sons daughters and family. What the boys from Bravo Company 4 RAR (n...Continue reading

20.01.2022 Here is an addendum to Jacqui Lambie’s video of earlier today. It is just amazing how some people behave...

19.01.2022 Senator Jacqui Lambie addressing the Senate about the toxic culture within the ADF. In the last three months we too have identified similar issues surrounding current serving and ex members of the ADF, details of which have been passed to Senator Lambie. The incompetence of certain medical officers, psychologists and psychiatrists engaged by Defence to do their dirty work and beat down veterans (one with more than 20 years and multiple war deployments) is a national disgrac...e. We are a part of the team who will identify and fight this deplorable and dangerous culture within Defence. They try to shut us up with placating letters and tell us we are not in possession of all the facts, but they forget there are officers and senior NCOs within Defence who support our mission and will work to expose the failures that lead to harmful outcomes and suicides in the veteran community.

19.01.2022 Lest we forget.

17.01.2022 28 August 1918 An unknown soldier with the Royal Engineers Signals Section, putting a message into the cylinder attached to the collar of a dog at the Central Depot of the Messenger Dog Service at Étaples-sur-Mer. (He wears four Overseas Service Chevrons on this right sleeve and the dog has been identified as an Australian Blue Heeler, cattle dog.)... "The use of messenger dogs for communications, although a late arrival in the communications arsenal, had by the end of the war been well tested and had become an important weapon. In November 1918, B.E.F. training pamphlet S.S. 135 ‘The Division in the Attack’ instructed that a group of messenger dogs should be assigned to each battalion as their employment could save the use of runners." 16.01.2022 Meanwhile in South Australia...

13.01.2022 We were recently contacted by a lovely team of compassionate souls from Karamaye Home, who have sent us what amounts to a lifetime supply of 250 and 500 thread count bedsheets for our veteran accommodation and to assist veteran getting started again. Please join us in saying thank you and perhaps consider sharing their eBay store or purchasing from them. The sheet and quilt cover sets we received are stunning and of the highest quality. Thank you to all the team at Karamaye H...ome (Sydney). https://www.ebay.com.au/str/karamayehome

11.01.2022 At the going down of the Sun and in the morning, we will remember them. Lest we forget...

11.01.2022 Unfortunately the expectation of inclement weather has forced the postponement of this event, stay tuned for a new date soon to be announced.

11.01.2022 V360A Ambassador Leah Lawler with a few students from Ocean Road Primary School, who have held Remembrance Day fundraisers for us since 2016. This year they raised more than $400 to assist us in our mission to provide a range of services to vulnerable and at risk veterans. We send a huge thanks to all the students, parents, teachers and everyone else involved in this amazing effort. ... We will remember them. Lest we forget.

11.01.2022 On average we have lost one veteran a week to suicide, while we cannot always predict what is happening in the minds of others, we can seek to relive the pressure of post service life for some veterans. Join us in demanding a Royal Commission into veterans’ care, wellness and wellbeing.

10.01.2022 This message is the same today...

09.01.2022 There's a strong correlation between homelessness and suicide. It's not a pretty topic, but a discussion we need to have. Please reach out to those you know who have struggled or are in despair. It's up to us - let's be the keepers of our brothers and sisters.

09.01.2022 If the next reality TV show could be politicians swapping places with troops on the front line for three months. - would you watch it?If the next reality TV show could be politicians swapping places with troops on the front line for three months. - would you watch it?

09.01.2022 When the mother of a lost veteran asks a direct question, the appropriate answer is not to start with self-promotion 'in case her question disturbs people' - nor is it to deflect and avoid the question despite it being asked twice! Minister Chester, we are asking too, what is this Government afraid of from an investigation by an INDEPENDENT Royal Commissioner? The person you have announced is a Brigadier and therefore NOT INDEPENDENT!!!... #vetsweforget #westandwithjulie-ann

08.01.2022 The weather is holding and looking good for the Veterans MC Remembrance Day ride. We will remember them. Lest we forget.

07.01.2022 This is five minutes of Brad’s life, he and Laura have been dealing with this for years! There should never be a cost, limitation or need for DVA to agree to treatments. Doctors treating these patients are the only people who are in a position to make these decisions. Brad is a true Australian Veteran hero and friend to this organisation. We love and support you, Laura and the kids mate.

07.01.2022 I heard my friend cry, and he sank to his knees, coughing blood as he screamed for his mother. And I fell by his side, and that's how we died, clinging like kids to each other. I lay in the mud and the guts and the blood and I wept as his body grew colder.... I called for my mother and she never came. Though it wasn't my fault and I wasn't to blame, the day not half over and ten thousand slain. And that's how it is for a Soldier. We will remember them. Lest we forget.

03.01.2022 There was another suicide this week! We have been highlighting the plight of some members whom Defence discharges without due process and an appropriate duty of care. Let’s see if the excuse makers who usually defend these monsters will troll us about this, it’s obvious others have seen the evidence as well...

03.01.2022 These Medals aren’t free. I’m a veteran. And will wear what medals I have with pride. Tomorrow we remember those words and reflect on the sacrifice given for our freedoms. Those who protected our country and all those whom we lost in every conflict. These words were written by Dave Stafford Finney, a son, father, brother, partner, friend and veteran. Please read them with reverence because Dave isn’t with us any longer to write more beautiful prose about our heroes. ... As we remember don’t forget we lost four more veterans in the past ten days. This has to stop! We will remember them. Lest we forget.
