Your National Veterans Committee sends each one of you warm greetings at this challenging time for everyone and hope that despite the difficulties this message finds each one of you, your families, friends and club mates safe and well. 24.01.2022 Congratulations to our Australian representatives at the World Veterans Championships 2019 in Marrakech. Cathy Arlove won a bronze medal in the F4 -70 and Lito Uyami came 5th in the M2 -60. A wonderful performance by both athletes.

23.01.2022 WA Dojo Dinosaurs Veterans training is done for 2019!! Thank you to all the veteran judoka who turned up for our last training and Christmas party. It was a great opportunity to socialise and meet some new faces. We have held 7 sessions this year with 65 veteran judoka in attendance. Special mention goes to Andrew Dennehy, Marty O'Dea and Luke Eenhoorn who have attended every session. These dedicated judoka got a special Dojo Dinosaurs prize for the effort (see the last pic).

21.01.2022 Wishing the Australian Veterans Judo community a very happy and successful year ahead. It’s great to see expansion of competitive Veterans events in 2020 with ACT and NSW governing bodies and their respective competition committees including inaugural Veterans divisions at both of the up coming Canberra and Sydney International Open Championships. The NVC hopes that many of you will support these events through participation. Our discussions with both States have included sc...heduling, noting that many Veterans with an interest in Shiai also have coaching responsibilities at both events. 07.01.2022 It was great to see the WA veterans at the last Dojo Dinosaurs session for 2020. There were 4 prize winners this year, with each recipient having attended every... Dojo Dinosaurs session in 2020. 3 out of the 4 have attended every session over the past 2 years, all coming from different clubs! It's great to see the WA Veteran Judo community getting behind this fantastic initiative. This is volunteer run by the Judo Australia Veterans Committee representative Melissa Dennehy , with a central and affordable location provided by her home club UWA Judo. This is a Judo WA event and is open to all veteran judoka over the age of 30 with a current Judo Australia membership. 2021 draft dates will be released shortly, with a 6 week rotation allowing for 8 sessions in the coming year.

03.01.2022 The last WA Dojo Dinosaurs for 2020 will be held at UWA Judo Club on Sunday 6th December. If you are a WA Judoka over the age of 30 and a current member of Judo WA, get yourself down for some training. This session will finish slightly early to allow for some post training snacks, drinks and a few award presentations. If you are coming and staying to socialise, please being something small to share.
