22.01.2022 A BRAVE STORY: A veteran had been serving in the Army for 19 years. He’s currently on medical stand down and reached out to us after he was beginning to struggl...e to meet his financial obligations. With his wife seriously unwell, he had been supporting three children in her absence - one of whom has Autism level 2. After selling personal items to feed his children and support their school costs, he called us for support. As soon as we learnt about his situation, we helped him with the cost of the school fees and sent his son an iPad to assist with his special needs classes. We also provided his family with food and fuel vouchers. If you’re an Australian veteran who has been injured as a result of service and experiencing financial hardship, reach out to our team on 1800 BRAVERY (1800 272 837) or at braverytrust.org.au to request a call back. #BraveToAsk #BraveryTrust See more

04.01.2022 Proud to announce two new providers will support veterans by providing trained psychiatric assistance dogs Integra Service Dogs Australia and the Royal Societ...y for the Blind (RSB). This is a program that is making a real difference in the lives of our veterans seeking to manage their post-traumatic stress disorder. Lily is one of the psychiatric assistance dogs provided through Smart Pups Assistance Dogs. Lily has successfully passed the training program and she has created a special bond with her owner Mac in managing his PTSD symptoms every day. The positive outcomes from this program are remarkable to see. Veterans with PTSD are able to find comfort in their psychiatric assistance dog, which supports their ongoing treatment with their mental health professional. For more information, visit the Australian Government Department of Veterans' Affairs website: www.dva.gov.au/dogs

02.01.2022 BREAKING: The PM has backflipped Teddy is getting the VC he deserves. Huge, huge victory for the thousands of people who've refused to let this go. This is th...e right result, and it's only happened because you guys made it happen. Somewhere, Teddy's looking down at the ways you guys fought for him and smiling. I reckon he'd be recognising a little of himself in you too. This is a victory for everyone who's got a little bit they owe to this 18-year-old kid from Tassie. A kid who gave his life for his country, and had to wait 78 years for his country to give him a proper thanks.
