13.01.2022 The countdown is on for Vet Nurse Day 2020! Have you met our gal Asha Yeoman? She’s VNCA’s Victoria Division chairperson, and this year joined our Board of Dire...ctors; we asked her why she loves being a Registered Veterinary Nurse! Say hey in the comments! I love that every day as a VN is different; everything can change in minutes. Some people go skydiving for an adrenalin rush, I just work in Emergency and ICU I love being part of a team that is responsible for saving the lives of beloved pets. The best part of any day is watching a patient leave the hospital happier and healthier than when they arrived, knowing that OUR skills contributed to that little one going home to their family. I am in awe of my colleagues, and feel so blessed to be able to work alongside such incredible, skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate and supportive people. I love that VNs will always rise to a challenge. We can look at difficult cases in positive ways; what did we learn from this patient? How can this experience improve us professionally? It is our drive and our passion as nurses that pushes us all to be our best and advocate for our patients. Also, kittens.
