16.01.2022 Today we farewell our wonderful CEO John Burns. John has been with us almost since the formation of VetPartners. He has led the growth from 32 hospitals to over 230 today, plus United Veterinary Group, the Veterinary Training Centres, Bamganie Pets Cremation and a vet nurse school in New Zealand. John is known for his high energy, sense of fun, and sayings anyone know the way to the Goldilocks zone? We will miss John terribly but wish him luck in his new role as CEO for Only About Children. We know he’ll be fantastic! John, a massive thank you for your support, guidance, sense of fun and all-round fabulousness from all of us at VetPartners. #Johnburns #vetpartners #thankyou

13.01.2022 Did you know that the veterinary industry is the profession with the highest level of suicide in Australia, with vets four times more likely to take their own life? It’s a shocking reality that needs to be addressed this World Mental Health Day. To help this cause, Zoetis has partnered with Dr Natasha Wilks of High Performance Vets and Dr Hester Raijmakers of Vet Partners to discuss mental health advice for veterinary professionals. Zoetis will also donate a percentage of ...its products sales before the end of the month to mental health resources that are open to all within the industry, with the aim of raising $100,000 to support online, phone and in-person initiatives. See this great Zoetis video about mental health and vets: https://youtu.be/XGfF87MJKZE #WorldMentalHealthDay #VeterinaryMentalHealth #ZoetisAU

08.01.2022 The mental health and wellbeing of our teams are of great importance to not only us but the veterinary industry as a whole. We have the 2nd highest rate of suicide across all sectors, and many of our hospitals have unfortunately witnessed the impact mental health issues can have on a person's life. It is because of this that we believe R U OK? Day is so essential. That is why we are empowering our teams to ask "R U OK?", to listen and to follow up. One conversation could change someone's life.

08.01.2022 At VetPartners we are passionate about encouraging good mental health in our industry. The veterinary professions can be hugely rewarding and also extremely challenging. Worryingly, an Australian vet dies at their own hand every twelve weeks, four times the rate of the general population. This is why we’re pleased to support Zoetis’ annual drive to raise $100,000 for mental health organisation, Beyond Blue . Zoetis has committed to donate $5 from every product sold between 15...th July and 31st October 2020 to reach the $100,000 fundraising target. This will be the company’s fifth annual campaign, which will total $500,000 of donations since 2016. These donations will help fund mental health organisation, Beyond Blue’s Support Service, which offers free, life-changing and sometimes life-saving service, 24 hours a day via phone, web chat or email whenever they need someone to talk too. #vetpartners #speakup #ZoetisAU
