25.01.2022 As a trainer/assessor what feedback can you offer in terms of the materials and PD required as support to provide high-quality training to students? The Australian Government Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) has released a new survey as part of the Skill Reform agenda. The survey seeks to obtain views from VET stakeholders on the strengths of the VET workforce, and areas for improvement and further support. Results from the survey will inform the developm...ent of the VET Workforce Quality Strategy. Trainers and assessors and RTO managers (as well as other stakeholders like employers and peak bodies) are encouraged to share feedback. The survey covers: - capability frameworks - professional standards - the Training and Education Training Package - professional development - induction support - mentoring - learner cohorts Respondents are advised to set aside about 45 mins to contribute their input: https://lnkd.in/eyTRdKv This survey is part of the Skills Reform Consultation. 11.01.2022 So what's a Training Product anyway? Different to a Training Package, a training product is what an RTO has listed on its scope of registration (on scope) and for which the RTO is registered and approved to deliver, assess, and issue Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) certification documentation. The Standards for RTOs 2015 define a training product as:... [an] AQF qualification, skill set, unit of competency, accredited short course and module. The Standards require RTOs to deliver and assess their training products to meet the requirements of training packages and VET accredited courses. Training products may be developed and used in two ways: 1. As an industry training package (training package) 2. As a VET accredited course Assessment tools and learner guides (developed or purchased) are not ‘training products’. #vet #vetpd #vetpdgroup #trainingproducts
