24.01.2022 Installing a cat scratching post inside your home can be a great way to encourage cats to scratch without ruining your favourite furniture. Scratching posts come in all manner of shapes and sizes - you can even build your own. Scratching behaviour is normal in cats, so providing them with one or more scratching posts will help save your furniture and keep kitty happy.

23.01.2022 Happy Valentine’s Day To the ones that are always there, through the highs and the lows.

20.01.2022 Like you, we’re happiest when your pet is healthy, which is why we recommend regular vet visits, even if your pet isn’t sick. Regular 6 monthly vet visits allow us to identify common insidious issues such as dental disease, arthritis, lumps and heart murmurs. This helps us to treat any developing problems as early as possible to ensure the best quality of life for your pet.

16.01.2022 Decisions decisions. Am I a Nigel or a Nelson? My family are having some trouble picking my name. Which one do you think suits me best?

15.01.2022 If you’ve got your holidays booked and you’re planning to put your pets into boarding whilst you’re away, you need to ensure that your pet is up-to-date with their vaccinations.. Canine cough is a common respiratory disease seen in dogs, and can be especially prevalent in situations when dogs are stressed or anxious. Make sure to book your pet in with us for their vaccinations well before you plan to head away.

12.01.2022 Poor little Charlie had to have his stomach pumped this week, after getting into some ibuprofen! He was given charcoal to bind the drug inside his stomach (this aids in preventing absorption of the toxin/drug), and plenty of fluids to help prevent any nasty damage to his stomach or kidneys. We are stoked to report that Charlie is doing really well, and he will be back to his bouncy, 13 week old self VERY soon! #feelgoodfriday

12.01.2022 Going away these Summer holidays? Don't forget to book your cats in for boarding. We have limited spots left for Christmas-New Years and these are filling up fast.

10.01.2022 Rolo is all smiles at the Vet

09.01.2022 If you need to transport your cat to the vet or for boarding, it’s important to always use a pet carrier, so that the cat remains safe and contained. To create a more relaxing experience for your cat, you can familiarise them with the pet carrier prior to travel and use a calming cat pheromone spray inside the carrier. Speak with our friendly team for more advice on how to make transporting your cat a positive experience for all.

07.01.2022 It’s important to always ensure your pets have access to fresh drinking water. During warmer weather, pets can quickly become dehydrated, which can lead to heat stress and can be fatal. It is a good idea to provide multiple water bowls in case one gets knocked over, and place them in a shady or protected spot so the water stays cool on a hot day.

06.01.2022 Look out for these signs that your pet might be suffering from itchy skin. The sooner we settle an itch, the less likely your pet is to cause self-trauma and secondary skin infections. So if you notice your pet is itching, licking, biting, or rubbing, you should arrange a check up with us as soon as you can. PLUS! Get 20% off Hill's skin and food sensitive diets - contact us for more information.

04.01.2022 Dr Sanchi taking the time to have a cuddle with new puppy Nala. By the time we see her back again in a few weeks she will be a bit too big for these kinds of hugs.

01.01.2022 Uh oh! Handsome Raja was in yesterday after he picked up something that wasn't for him and thought it was a great game not to drop it when asked. Instead he chose to swallow the face mask so he didn't have to give it back. Thankfully his owner spotted the problem quickly and brought him in so we could induce emesis before the mask became stuck in his digestive tract. Despite this Raja was still pretty happy with himself.
