01.01.2022 RACE DAYS CONFIRMED: Sunday, December 27 Sunday, April 4RACE DAYS CONFIRMED: Sunday, December 27 Sunday, April 4

01.01.2022 DUE to the current COVID-19 outbreak in South Australia, the VHHRC has made the difficult decision to postpone its race day scheduled for December 27. With lockdown and restrictions, the club feels it can not manage a race day given the parameters. Last night, the committee made the unanimous decision to relinquish its programmed meeting on December 27. Club president Lynton Bishop today said postponing the race day was in the best interest of the patrons, trainers, drivers, ...racing officials and the club. We want to be able to host a great day out not just for those involved in the racing industry, but also the winder community, Lynton said. Unfortunately, we are in difficult waters, and the safety of everyone involved with putting on a race day is paramount. Harness Racing SA has indicated they will look at a substitute race day for VHHRC. While the situation may improve, Lynton said the club decided to cancel its event early to avoid any financial losses. The club had two scheduled race days, with the second scheduled for Easter Sunday. VHHRC will advise the community and its social media followers when a suitable alternate race date has been secured.
